Maruti Suzuki Jimny, the most anticipated debut in the Indian market, has been confirmed by Maruti Suzuki. The company's top-tier Nexa dealerships will sell the lifestyle SUV, which has already received over 30,000 reservations. The SUV would have five doors, unlike its rivals, placing it squarely against the Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha.
The 1.5-litre four-cylinder NA petrol engine used in the Maruti Suzuki Jimny produces a maximum of 105 PS and a maximum torque of 134 Nm. Customers will also have the option of an optional 4-speed torque converter AT and gearbox options, including a 5-speed manual gearbox. The SUV will include a low-range transfer case as part of its conventional 4x4 setup.
A variety of features, including a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an Arkamys sound system, auto climate control, steering-mounted controls, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, cruise control, headlamp washers, and more, will be included with the Jimny. Six airbags, a brake limited slip differential, ABS, EBD, ESP, Hill Hold Assist, Hill Descent Control, Brake Assist, a rearview camera, and standard ISOFIX anchors are among its safety features.
Nexa Blue, Bluish Black, Granite Grey, Pearl Arctic White, Kinetic Yellow with a Bluish Black roof, Sizzling Red, and Sizzling Red with a Bluish Black roof are the seven colour options Maruti will offer for the Jimny. The Jimny would be priced between the Fronx and Grand Vitara in Maruti Suzuki's lineup, with a projected starting price of Rs 9–9.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
