The cabin is likely to sport a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7.0-inch TFT drive display, dual-zone automatic climate control, paddle shifters, rake and reach adjustable multifunctional steering wheel, and a powered driver seat with memory function.
The feature list could also include ventilated front seats, a wireless charging pad, a 9-speaker JBL audio system, and a powered tailgate among others. The safety suite is likely to include six airbags, ABS with EBD, TPMS, ESP, hill start assist, and a 360-degree parking camera along with front and rear parking sensors.
The powertrain details are not disclosed yet, but we can expect the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that does duty for the Toyota Innova Hycross to be under the hood of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki MPV. The engine belts out 171 bhp and the hybrid powertrain produces 180 bhp of peak power. Transmission options are likely to include a CVT or an e-CVT for the MPV.
The Toyota Innova Hycross retails at a starting price of Rs.18.55 lakh for the base variant and goes up to Rs. 30 lakh for the top model. The upcoming Maruti Suzuki MPV is likely to have the same retail bracket and it will be the most expensive Maruti Suzuki car in the fleet.
