Maruti Suzuki Brezza’s popularity in India is always known. This car has made its place among Indian due to its affordable pricing, brand reliability, and fuel efficiency. But Brezza’s impression didn’t stop here rather, it is back with a special edition known as Urbano Edition. The new model is priced from Rs 8.49 lakh onwards and essentially clubs a range of accessories at a discounted price. Let’s delve into the details of its features, variants, and much more:
Enhanced Features of the Urbano Edition
The Urbano Edition of the Brezza aims to provide additional features to make the vehicle more appealing. The LXi variant of the Brezza in the Urbano Edition now includes a rear parking camera, a touchscreen, speakers, a front fog lamp kit, fog lamp garnish, front and rear skid plates, front grille chrome garnish, body side molding, and a wheel arch kit. If these accessories were purchased separately, they would cost Rs 52,370. Even as a kit, these accessories are priced at Rs 42,000. However, the Urbano Edition package significantly reduces the price to just Rs 15,000 for the LXi variant.
Similarly, the VXi variant in the Urbano Edition comes with a rear camera, fog lamps, a special dashboard trim, body side molding, a wheel arch kit, metal sill guards, a registration plate frame, and 3D floor mats. These accessories would cost Rs 26,149 if bought individually, and Rs 18,500 if bought as a kit. With the Urbano Edition package, the price drops dramatically to just Rs 3,500 for the VXi variant.
Availability and Pricing
The Brezza Urbano Edition is available with both petrol and CNG powertrain options and can be purchased with either manual or automatic transmission. Without the Urbano Edition package, the Brezza is priced between Rs 8.34 lakh and Rs 14.14 lakh. However, this month, there are additional discounts of up to Rs 25,000 available, making it an even more attractive option for buyers.
Comparison with Other Maruti Models
The introduction of the Urbano Edition follows a similar strategy to Maruti's recent launch of the Dream Series. The Dream Series includes additional features for models like the Alto K10, S Presso, and Celerio, aimed at boosting sales. The Dream Series received a positive response, leading to an extension of its availability by another month. Maruti seems to be applying the same strategy with the Brezza Urbano Edition, aiming to attract more customers by offering extra value at a reduced price.
Brezza's Powertrain and Competitors
The Maruti Brezza is powered by a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 103 horsepower and 137 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard, with an option for a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The Brezza competes with other compact SUVs in the market such as the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and Mahindra XUV300. These competitors are similarly priced and offer comparable features, making the compact SUV segment highly competitive.
Overall, The launch of the Maruti Brezza Urbano Edition is a strategic move by Maruti Suzuki to enhance the appeal of its popular compact SUV. By adding a range of valuable accessories at a significantly reduced price, the Urbano Edition offers enhanced value to customers. Available with both petrol and CNG options, and with additional discounts this month, the Brezza Urbano Edition is positioned as an attractive option for buyers looking for a well-equipped compact SUV. This move is in line with Maruti's broader strategy of introducing special editions and feature-rich variants to boost sales and maintain its competitive edge in the market.
