Maruti Suzuki is leading the automobile industry in India as the company rose 42.5% to 61,767 units in the span of three months through November.
India's automobile industry has seen tremendous sales of small cars, tractors, and two-wheelers in recent months, showing the enhancement of consumer points of view in rural India. It is on the roadmap of becoming a key market for automotive products, where demand is increasing by the passing months, improving the market impacted by the Covid outbreak.
The sale of two-wheelers has increased in double digits in the last months, and the demand in rural India is the prominent contributor to growth. For the first time after the first quarter of the current financial year, the company is seeing a positive result in November in tractor sales.
Maruti Suzuki India has become the top seller in rural India, which rose 42.5% to 61,767 units in just three months. The Senior Executive Director of Marketing and Sales, Shashank Srivastava, said, "We did see some slowdown in sales last month, but rural demand is seasonal. Monsoons have been good the last 3 to 4 years, reservoir levels are healthy, rabi sowing is brisk. We expect rural spending to gain pace after the harvest next month."
Comparing the situation with last year, the rural sales segment for Maruti increased to 43.8% this fiscal year from 43.3% last year. According to the data provided by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA), the volume of two-wheelers increased by 41% in October and 24% in November.
The automobile industry cannot be predicted with certainty, but seeing the data, the figures are good and are expected to increase in future.
