Mahindra & Mahindra has achieved a notable milestone in its electric vehicle journey by delivering over 10,000 units of its electric SUVs, the XEV 9e and BE 6, within just 70 days since mid-March 2025. This equates to selling approximately one electric SUV every 10 minutes, underscoring the strong market demand for these models.
The company commenced deliveries on March 20, 2025, focusing initially on the top-end ‘Pack Three’ variants of both models. These variants come equipped with a substantial 79 kWh battery pack, offering a real-world driving range of over 500 km, catering to consumers seeking long-range electric mobility solutions.
Design and Bookings
The XEV 9e and BE 6 are built on Mahindra’s dedicated INGLO skateboard EV platform, a modular architecture designed to underpin several upcoming all-electric models. This platform allows for scalable production and flexibility in design, contributing to the rapid rollout of these vehicles.
The electric duo stirred significant excitement at launch, gathering 30,179 bookings on the very first day of reservations. This overwhelming response prompted Mahindra to scale up production to meet the growing appetite for these vehicles.
Feature Highlights
Both SUVs are packed with modern features and technologies. The XEV 9e boasts a triple-screen layout, while the BE 6 features twin screens.
Other highlights include leatherette upholstery, multiple airbags, adaptive suspension, a head-up display, drive modes, a 16-speaker sound system, USB Type-C ports, a 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and Level 2+ Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
Pricing: XEV 9e and BE 6
In terms of pricing, the XEV 9e’s entry-level ‘Pack One’ variant, featuring a 59 kWh battery, starts at ₹21.90 lakh. The ‘Pack Two’ variant, retaining the same battery configuration but offering additional features, is priced at ₹24.90 lakh. The top-end ‘Pack Three Select’ and the fully-loaded ‘Pack Three’ variants are priced at ₹27.90 lakh and ₹30.50 lakh, respectively.
Meanwhile, the BE 6’s base ‘Pack One’ variant is priced at ₹18.90 lakh, with the ‘Pack One Above’ at ₹20.50 lakh. The ‘Pack Two’ variant is available at ₹21.90 lakh, while the ‘Pack Three Select’ and ‘Pack Three’ variants are priced at ₹24.50 lakh and ₹26.90 lakh, respectively.
Delivery Timeline
Mahindra has outlined a structured delivery timeline for the remaining variants. Dispatches for the mid-spec ‘Pack Two’ variants are scheduled to begin in July 2025, while deliveries for the entry-level ‘Pack One’ and ‘Pack One Above’ trims are expected to commence in August.
This achievement highlights Mahindra’s growing presence in the electric vehicle market and the strong consumer demand for its latest electric SUV offerings.
