This video is about the launch of the Mahindra XUV 400 electric compact SUV in India and the price hike of Maruti Suzuki cars. The Mahindra XUV 400 has a starting price of 15.99 lakh rupees for the base EC variant and goes up to 18.99 lakh rupees for the range topping El variant. Both variants get the same electric motor punching out 110 kilowatt and 310 newton meters. Mahindra claims a 0 to 100 kilometers per hour time of 8.3 seconds for its electric SUV and a top speed of 150 kilometers per hour. The EC will be available with a 3.3 kilowatt charger and an additional outlay letting buyers upgrade to a faster 7.2 kilowatt unit. The El meanwhile will get the 7.2 kilowatt charger as a standard. Maruti Suzuki has hiked the prices of all its cars with effect from January 16 2023. The car maker shared that the prices of all its cars were up by about 1.1 percent. The company had previously announced its plans to hike prices for its cars back in early December 2022. It had said that the hike in prices had been necessitated by increasing costs due to inflation and recent regulatory requirements.
