Mahindra Teases Thar Roxx Interior Dual Digital Displays Premium Features And Expected Launch Date Revealed

Mahindra Teases Thar Roxx Interior: Dual Digital Displays, Premium Features, and Expected Launch Date Revealed

Mahindra & Mahindra is gearing up for a major reveal with its upcoming Thar Roxx, the five-door variant of the iconic Thar SUV. Set to launch on August 15, 2024, the Thar Roxx has been the subject of much anticipation and speculation. The latest teaser provides a tantalizing glimpse into the vehicle’s interior, confirming several new features and giving us an early look at what the off-roader has to offer.

Interior Design and Features Unveiled

The Thar Roxx’s latest teaser highlights a sophisticated interior design that combines luxury with rugged functionality. The cabin will sport a dual-tone black and white theme, with seats wrapped in white leatherette upholstery and a black leather-wrapped dashboard accented by contrasting copper stitching. This elegant design is a departure from the more utilitarian interiors of the previous Thar models, aiming to attract a broader range of customers who appreciate a touch of luxury in their off-road adventures.

A major highlight of the Thar Roxx’s interior is the introduction of dual digital displays. The teaser reveals a large touchscreen infotainment system and a digital driver’s display, both potentially 10.25-inch units. These features promise a modern, tech-savvy driving experience, enhancing both convenience and connectivity for users. The infotainment system is expected to be equipped with the latest software, likely including navigation and smartphone integration capabilities.

In addition to the advanced displays, the Thar Roxx will feature a panoramic sunroof and a Harman Kardon sound system, offering an elevated driving experience. Although dual-zone climate control is not visible in the teaser, ventilated front seats are anticipated, providing added comfort for drivers and passengers alike.

Safety and Technology Enhancements

Safety remains a top priority for the Thar Roxx, with Mahindra aiming to equip the SUV with an array of advanced safety features. The vehicle is expected to include six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and hill hold and descent control. A notable addition is the 360-degree camera, which will enhance the driver’s visibility and aid in maneuvering the Thar Roxx in various driving conditions.

Furthermore, the Thar Roxx is anticipated to feature Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) capabilities. This includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and autonomous emergency braking, all of which are borrowed from the XUV700. These technologies will offer a higher level of driver assistance and safety, positioning the Thar Roxx as a more advanced option in the off-road SUV segment.

Powertrain and Performance

Under the hood, the Thar Roxx is expected to offer the same powertrain options as the 3-door Thar but with potential tweaks to performance figures. The SUV will likely come equipped with a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine, both known for their robust performance and off-road capability. The Thar Roxx is expected to provide both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and four-wheel-drive (4WD) options, catering to diverse driving needs and preferences.

Pricing and Competition

The Mahindra Thar Roxx is anticipated to start at an ex-showroom price of Rs 12.99 lakh. This pricing positions it competitively within the market, aiming to attract buyers looking for a premium off-road experience without exceeding budget constraints. The Thar Roxx will directly compete with the 5-door Force Gurkha and serve as a more upscale alternative to the Maruti Jimny, making it a strong contender in the growing segment of family-oriented off-road SUVs.

Conclusion

The Mahindra Thar Roxx promises to be a significant upgrade from its predecessors, blending luxury, technology, and off-road capability in a way that appeals to a broader audience. With its dual digital displays, advanced safety features, and sophisticated interior design, the Thar Roxx is set to make a notable impact on the SUV market. As the launch date approaches, all eyes will be on Mahindra to see if the Thar Roxx lives up to the high expectations it has generated.
