Mahindra Introduces Thar Earth Edition A Desert Inspired Special Variant With Unique Aesthetics And Off Road Prowess

Mahindra Introduces Thar Earth Edition: A Desert-Inspired Special Variant with Unique Aesthetics and Off-Road Prowess

Mahindra has added a distinctive touch to its popular Thar SUV with the introduction of the 'Earth Edition,' drawing inspiration from the rugged terrain of the Thar desert.

This special edition, exclusive to the LX hard top variant, brings a unique visual identity and a desert-themed beige color palette. Priced between Rs 15.40 lakh and Rs 17.60 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India), the Thar Earth Edition is available with both petrol and diesel powertrains, catering to off-road enthusiasts who appreciate the iconic SUV's capabilities.

One of the standout features of the Earth Edition is its exclusive 'Desert Fury' satin matte beige exterior shade, which is complemented by dune-inspired decals on the doors. The design details extend to beige inserts in the new silver-finished alloy wheels, on the ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors), and in the grille. The 'Earth Edition' badging on the B-pillars and the matte-black finish for various badges add to its distinct appearance.

Inside the cabin, the Earth Edition boasts a dual-tone leatherette seat upholstery with contrasting beige stitching, providing a plush and stylish environment. Beige highlights can be observed in various elements, including the AC vent surrounds, center console, door panels, and the steering wheel. The headrests feature dune-like embossing, adding a touch of uniqueness. Each Thar Earth Edition comes with a special numbered decorative VIN plate, starting with serial number '1,' contributing to the exclusivity of this variant.

Despite the visual enhancements, the Earth Edition maintains the feature-rich offerings of the LX trim. Features such as a 7-inch touchscreen system, cruise control, keyless entry, and height-adjustable driver seat are part of the package. Safety features include dual front airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, electronic stability program (ESP), and rear parking sensors, ensuring a secure driving experience.

Under the hood, Mahindra offers the Thar Earth Edition with both petrol and diesel engine options. The 4WD (4-wheel drive) version is equipped with a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine, providing the necessary power and torque for off-road adventures. Strikethrough This special edition stands as part of Mahindra's broader Thar lineup, where prices range from Rs 11.25 lakh to Rs 17.60 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India). In the competitive SUV market, the Thar Earth Edition contends with models such as the Force Gurkha and the Maruti Jimny, offering enthusiasts a unique and capable off-road companion.
