Luxury automaker Lexus has officially introduced its premium MPV, the Lexus LM, to the Indian market. Based on the Toyota Vellfire platform, the LM arrives in two variants, the LM 350h (7-seater) and LM 350h (4-seater), with prices starting from Rs 2 crore and Rs 2.5 crore respectively (ex-showroom pan-India).
Exterior and Interior Highlights:
The Lexus LM boasts a striking design with a prominent spindle grille, electronically sliding rear doors, and sleek LED taillights, exuding elegance and sophistication. Inside the cabin, a cream-coloured theme enhances the luxurious ambience, complemented by two large screens dominating the dashboard. Notable features include a massive 48-inch screen for the second row, a premium 23-speaker sound system, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) for enhanced safety.
Variant-wise Pricing and Features:
LM 350h (7-seater): Rs 2 crore (ex-showroom pan-India)
LM 350h (4-seater): Rs 2.5 crore (ex-showroom pan-India)
Lexus has opted for a lounge-like experience in the 4-seater variant, commanding a premium of Rs 50 lakh over the 7-seater version.
Powertrain and Performance:
Under the hood, the Lexus LM is powered by a robust hybrid powertrain featuring a 2.5-litre petrol engine paired with an e-CVT automatic gearbox, delivering a combined output of 250 PS. The MPV also comes equipped with all-wheel-drive (AWD) capability, ensuring a refined and dynamic driving experience.
Delayed Launch and Deliveries:
Tanmay Bhattacharya, Executive Vice-President of Lexus India, expressed gratitude towards customers for their patience and confidence in the brand. He stated, "Upon announcing the commencement of its bookings last year, the new Lexus LM had become an instant hit in the country. We thank our guests for their patience as well as their faith in the brand and are confident that we will be able to begin deliveries of the majestic new LM by mid of this year."
