The Italian sportscar brand, Lamborghini has its separate fanbase while Huracan is one of the most popular models which is currently owned by many celebrities all over the world. Lamborghini has revealed that it is gearing up to introduce the successor to the Huracán, codenamed Lamborghini 634. While the official name remains a mystery, the details of the cars have been revealed to an extent:
Powertrain: A Potent Combination of ICE and Electric
The combustion engine of the 634, which was designed solely in Sant'Agata, Italy, will outshine even the Huracan's extreme STO variant with its 800 horsepower and 730 Nm of torque. This engine is unique in that it has a redline of 10,000 rpm, which is normally only reached by racing engines.
A slimline, lightweight, axial-flux electric motor fitted in front of an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission gives the 634's powertrain an additional 150 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque to the rear axle. Although Lamborghini has not revealed the exact power output, it is anticipated to be more than 900 horsepower.
Design and Underpinnings: Inspired by the Revuelto
With its dramatic appearance and typical Lamborghini features like a gaping hexagonal exhaust, Y-shaped LED light patterns, and large air ducts throughout the body to boost downforce, the 634 will visually resemble the flagship Revuelto.
Based on the'monofuselage' concept first introduced with the Revuelto, the 634 will use a carbon-fiber monocoque; but, to keep the price point more entry-level, it is expected to use less expensive composites and more aluminum in its construction. To visually differentiate the 634 from the bigger Revuelto, the platform will be shortened.
Release Date and Name Expectations
While online rumors regarding the new car's moniker, "Temerario," have been going around, Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Lamborghini, has alluded to a name that was influenced by a battling bull. After the success of the Revuelto and the plug-in hybrid Urus SE, Lamborghini's electrification adventure will reach a major turning point with the release of the much anticipated Huracán successor later this year.
