Kia India closed June 2026 with its strongest June performance since it entered the country, dispatching 24,552 vehicles to dealers. This marks a year on year rise of 19.04 percent over the 20,625 units the brand sold in June 2025, working out to an addition of 3,927 units.
The company credited the sustained momentum to demand across its growing product range, which now spans compact SUVs, mid size SUVs, MPVs and electric vehicles, giving it a presence across several segments of the passenger vehicle market.
On a sequential basis, wholesale dispatches eased by 11.00 percent, or 3,034 units, when compared with the 27,586 units sold in May 2026.
Even with this month on month softening, June still stood as the brand's best performance for the month in its history in India.

Strongest Ever First Half And Second Quarter
Kia India also delivered its best ever first half performance in 2026, with cumulative sales reaching 1,63,749 units between January and June. This compares with 1,42,139 units sold over the same period in 2025, a year on year growth of 15.20 percent.
The April to June quarter contributed strongly to this tally, with 79,424 units sold against 66,563 units in Q2 2025, an increase of 19.32 percent.

Seltos, Sonet And Carens Clavis Drive Growth
A senior sales and marketing executive at Kia India said the record June and first half numbers reflect the continued trust customers place in the brand. The growth was attributed largely to sustained demand for the new Seltos, Sonet and Carens Clavis, while the newly launched Syros has also received an encouraging response from buyers.
The executive further noted that a notable share of existing Kia owners are upgrading to the new Seltos, pointing to strong repeat preference for the SUV within the brand's own customer base.
The company also reported a positive response to the Carens Clavis EV, with supportive government policy for electric vehicle adoption and its recently introduced Battery as a Service programme helping make electric mobility more accessible to buyers.
Kia is expected to widen its electric lineup further with a compact electric SUV in the near future, building on the momentum seen through the first half of 2026.
