Kia EV3 GT Has Been Confirmed To Launch in 2026, with AWD

The next Kia EV3 GT is to become the performance version flagship of the brand in the compact line of electric SUVs. The EV3 GT features two motors, all-wheel drive, and power on the same level as the EV6 GT, which means it will have sporty dynamics in a smaller and less expensive electric package.

Kia is pushing full steam ahead towards offering electrified vehicles, and the newest member of the expanding Kia EV family is the Kia EV3 GT. This new model is going to be a high-performance version of the newly announced EV3 compact SUV and is scheduled to go on sale in the second half of 2026, with all-wheel drive (AWD) and power standing that it may rival the widely popular Kia EV6 GT. The EV3 GT is going to be a major departure from its standard model, which has one motor on the front axle.

On the contrary, the GT will offer dual-motor arrangement, providing power to four wheels. Such an AWD configuration will improve the acceleration, grip, and handling drastically, and it will be the most performance-oriented car in the EV3 portfolio.

Kia has not provided specific output figures about the EV3 GT as yet, but going by the template of the EV6 GT which produces 430kW and does the 0 -100km/h sprint in a mere 3.5 seconds, the EV3 GT is set to perform in a way that is guaranteed to be intense but at a smaller form factor.

Equipped for Speed & Range

To reinforce this power bump, an EV3 GT will be endowed with a big 81.4kWh battery pack. Although range could decrease slightly because of the energy requirements of two motors, the capacity of the batteries should be sufficient to provide adequate on-road range in real life to make daily usability a reality.

It is predicted the sporty GT model will receive special design features, which make the model look different to the standard EV3- possibly unique alloy wheels, GT logos, more sporting bumpers, and interior improvements.

Small scale performance, international appeal

The EV3 GT will be the all electric speed twist of the compact SUV fleet of Kia cars and will in all likelihood, perform to the satisfaction of younger purchasers of EVs who do not want to sacrifice utility in their tool. The EV3 GT could be one of Kia products to add some bang and bally to its fleet of small or compact electric cars as the company shifts to an electric era.
