Jeep Grand Cherokee Signature Edition at Rs 69.04 Lakh

Jeep has introduced a new Signature Edition of its flagship Grand Cherokee SUV in India. At Rs 69.04 lakh, this is a limited-run edition, with premium features like powered side steps, rear entertainment screens, and dash cams that enhance comfort, safety, and in-cabin experience with no tweaks to the mechanical part.

Jeep India has launched the Grand Cherokee Signature Edition, a limited-run variant of its flagship SUV, at Rs 69.04 lakh ex-showroom. This places it Rs 1.54 lakh higher than the Grand Cherokee Limited (O) variant, along with a few high-end upgrades that focus on the comfort and entertainment of the passengers.

The fifth-generation Grand Cherokee offered a bagful of features, yet the newly minted Signature Edition elevates the whole package. From motorised side steps for easier ingress and egress, particularly for the elderly and children, to two 11.6-inch rear infotainment screens with built-in speakers.

These Android-based touchscreens feature Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and AUX support to make it a true rear-seat entertainment system.

Speaking of technology, front and rear dashboard cameras now come fitted from the factory with the Signature Edition, upping safety and recording ability for urban and highway usage.

No Motivational Changes Under the Hood

Mechanically too, the Signature Edition remains the same as the Limited (O) variant. It is powered by the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine developing 272 hp and 400 Nm of torque.

The powertrain comes mated with an 8-speed automatic gearbox along with Jeep's been there, done that 4WD system for all-terrain capabilities while providing a refined driving experience.

Competitive Landscape in the Luxury SUV Segment

Jeep Grand Cherokee continues to be a competitor in the premium SUV segment against the likes of:

  • Volvo XC90 (Rs 1.04 crore)

  • Range Rover Velar (Rs 87.90 lakh)

  • Mercedes-Benz GLE (Rs 1.02–1.11 crore)

  • Audi Q7 (Rs 90.48 lakh–99.81 lakh)

  • BMW X5 (Rs 97.80 lakh–1.13 crore)

While some of these rivals offer three-row seating options, the Grand Cherokee sticks to a 5-seater layout, attracting those buyers interested in a spacious two-row SUV loaded with creature comforts, with some off-road cred to boot.

With the implementation of tech and luxury touches, the Signature Edition is aimed at premium buyers looking for exclusivity and practicality, with no compromise on Jeep DNA.
