Infiniti Qx50 Qx55 Discontinued After 2025 New Qx65 Two Row Coming In 2026

Infiniti QX50, QX55 discontinued after 2025, New QX65 Two-Row Coming in 2026

Infiniti is preparing for a substantial shakeup. In December, Nissan's luxury brand will stop producing the QX50 and QX55 small crossovers, marking the end of the 2025 model year.

Infiniti has confirmed that the OX50 and QX55 compact SUVs will be discontinued after the 2025 model year. The luxury brand also stated that a refreshed QX60 will be revealed this year along with a 2-row and mid-sized QX65 which is featured like a coupe and will be released in 2026. Infiniti, instead, has confirmed a new two-row mid-size SUV called QX65 which is expected to become the brand’s entry point car.

Discontinuation of QX50 and QX 55 confirmed

Ponz Pandikuthira the head of product for Nissan’s American Arm has confirmed the discontinuation of QX 50 and QX 55 in a statement saying both of them won't be renewed past 2025. The discontinuation of QX 50 is a bit surprising as it was the brand’s 2nd highest-selling model in 2024.

On the other hand, QX60 reported a net sales of 27,800. The QX50 was only 383 units ahead of the costlier QX80.

New Models to be Introduced

Infiniti also confirmed that the discontinuation of QX50 and QX 55 will be followed by an array of new vehicles. First of all, a refreshed QX60 will be introduced which includes QX60 Sport. A QX80 Sport will also arrive in 2025, Then in 2026, Infiniti will launch a QX65 Crossover which will be a mid-sized SUV.

Vision QXe EV SUV and Vision Qe EV Sedan are to be introduced

Infiniti also reaffirmed its plan for 2 EV Models, the vision QXe and QE Sedan, They also hinted at the both models in 2023 through a teaser which showed the Qe concept. It is to be believed that these models might arrive in 2026 year but the lack of dates make it obvious that the above models will debut later than scheduled.

Conclusion

Infiniti has discontinued the ongoing products to make a way for the new cars to be introduced and look forward to the future by launching new and improved models.
