Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) has revealed its sales of 48,601 units as opposed to 42,293 units for the same period in 2022.
This translates to a 14.91 percent growth on a year-to-year basis. The exports clocked a sale of 1100 units against 8,970 units sold for the same period in 2022, registering a 22.63 percent growth. The total sales stood at 59,601 in comparison to 51,263 units sold for May 2022, registering a growth of 16.26 percent.
Commenting on the May 2023 sales, Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, “We are glad to announce a healthy double-digit sales growth for the month of May 2023 fuelled by our blockbuster SUVs, Hyundai Creta and Hyundai Venue. The recently launched all-new Hyundai VERNA again clocked strong numbers, while Hyundai EXTER, our soon-to-be-launched SUV, continues to ramp up excitement amongst customers in the SUV space.”

The company is all set to introduce the Hyundai Exter to the Indian market which will rival the likes of the Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite, Citroen C3, and Renault Kiger to name a few. The car will feature a 2.31-inch LCD dash cam, a sunroof, six airbags, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, hill assist control, a 3-point seat belt, seatbelt reminder(all seats), ABS with EBD, burglar alarm, TPMS, ISOFIX, headlamp escort function, rear parking camera and more.
