Hyundai Exter Bookings Went From 10,000 To 50,000 In Less Than 30 Days Of Launch
Hyundai has announced that the recently launched Exter has registered over 50,000 bookings and the sunroof variant contributes to 75 percent of the total bookings. There is a significant demand for the Automatic version which comes with AMT with paddle shifters. The Hyundai Exter price when launched was Rs. 5.99 lakh and it goes up against the likes of the Tata Punch, Citroen C3, and Renault Kiger to name a few. It is available in seven trims: EX, EX (O), S, S (O), SX, SX (O), and SX (O) Connect. There is a CNG guise on offer that can be had in two trims.
Hyundai Exter is available in six single-tone shades and three dual-tone shades: Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Cosmic Blue, Atlas White, Titan Grey, and Starry Night, including Ranger Khaki with Abyss Black, Cosmic Blue with Abyss Black and Atlas Black with Abyss Black.
Hyundai Exter exterior gets sharp lines and creases all over the body. The front section gets signature “H” shaped DRLs and tail lamps with bi-function projection headlights. The side profile gets chunky body cladding which adds to the sporty look of the SUV. The car comes shod with “Exter '' lettering on the front and the back and wears 15-inch alloy wheels.
The cabin has taken cues from the Hyundai Aura and Grand i10, and gets three colour themes for the interiors: Light Sage, Silver, and Cosmic Blue. The dash places an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with a 4.2-inch TFT instrument console. Other mentions include Hyundai’s Bluelink with over 60 connected car features, over-the-air updates, in-built navigation, 90 embedded voice commands with 10 Indian languages and two international, a wireless charging pad, footwell lighting, type-C charging ports, and upholstery with “Exter'' lettering,
Hyundai Exter safety suite consists of TPMS, a voice-assisted sunroof, a dual dash cam unit, a rearview camera with sensors, ABS with EBD, VSM, ESC, hill assist, and six airbags to name a few.
The Hyundai Exter uses a 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated, in-line four-cylinder petrol engine that makes 81 bhp of power and 114 Nm of peak torque. The transmission options include a five-speed manual and a five-speed AMT gearbox. The CNG guise makes 68 bhp and 95.2 Nm of peak torque. The CNG guise comes paired with a five-speed manual only. The company claims a fuel efficiency of 19.4 kmpl for the manual, 19.2 for the AMT, and 27.1 km for the CNG guise.
