Citroen to roll out Dark editions for the 2 flagship cars

Citroen India is prepared to follow in the footsteps of other automakers who have introduced black edition versions of their products in recent weeks. Dark edition avatars for the Citroen C3 and Citroen Basalt are on the horizon.

Several manufacturers are currently adopting the Dark/Black edition trend, and Citroën India is following suit. In the upcoming weeks, the French carmaker plans to introduce the Basalt coupe SUV and the C3's black variant.

Exterior Highlights

As with the other dark edition versions that were just released, expect both cars to get cosmetic upgrades. Anticipate the all-black exterior theme of the dark editions of Basalt and C3. Speculate that the models will have a dark theme for the cabin and a completely blacked-out appearance, including a black outside paint job.

In addition, the wheels can be given a dark finish to match the new dark edition's overall design.

Powertrain Highlights

Regarding the mechanical aspects, it is anticipated that the Citroen Basalt and C3 dark variants will be equipped with identical engines and gearbox options. It is anticipated that the prices of these two models will be higher than those of their normal counterparts, ranging from ₹20,000 to ₹40,000, depending on the model. More information is yet to be shared by the concerned car makers.

Conclusion

Citroen is about to give the C3 and Basalt a cool makeover with their upcoming Dark Editions, bringing a bold, all-black aesthetic to the forefront. Expect these models to stand out with a sleek, dark theme both inside and out, giving them a more premium and aggressive look. While the engines and performance will likely stay the same, the price tag will probably see a small increase, reflecting the stylish upgrades. As more automakers jump on the dark edition trend, Citroen is joining the wave, offering something fresh and eye-catching to their lineup. Keep an eye out for the launch in the next few weeks!
