Citroen, the French carmaker, has released a teaser of its first all-electric car in India, called eC3. It is the electric version of the C3 hatchback, the company's third offering in the domestic market, most likely to debut in January 2023.

The Citroen eC3 will be manufactured locally at the company's production base in Tamil Nadu, which has been spotted for testing a few times till now. It will have a charging port mounted above the front fender and positioned at Rs. 10 to 12 lakh (ex-showroom). The media reports show that the Citroen eC3 is expected to offer more range than the Tata Tiago EV.

The model is expected to attain minimal changes based on spy images. Still, we can expect it to bring different colour schemes and unique colour coordination for the audience to differentiate between ICE and EV variants.

There is no such technical information revealed. However, it will be one of the most affordable EVs in the Indian market, positioned below Tata Nexon and will be a direct competitor of Tata Punch EV and Tata Tiago EV.

India Records 1,55,622 Road Accident-Related Deaths In 2022

The road accident-related death rate is relatively high in India, as 1,55,622 death have been registered in India, and 59.7% of them are because of overseeing.

62% of the accidents are recorded on only 5% of the highways. Considering this, the government needs to take some essential preventive measures to prevent these road accidents.

According to the reports, Yamuna Expressway, which connects Greater Noida and Agra, is one of the prime locations for accidents due to poor visibility in winter. However, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) decided to lower the speed limit on the expressway from 100 kmph to 80 kmph during winter to prevent the occurring accidents.

Similarly, other decisions must be taken to prevent accidents on other highways. Besides this, the government is also working on finding accident-prone areas to give them a proper revamp to make them safer for the citizens.
