A Deep Dive into the Maruti Suzuki Car S Cross

Embark on a detailed exploration of the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, a versatile crossover that seamlessly blends style and performance. Offering a spacious interior, advanced safety features, and efficient fuel economy, the S-Cross is a testament to Maruti Suzuki's commitment to delivering a premium driving experience. This comprehensive review delves into its design, technology, and driving dynamics, providing valuable insights for those considering this dynamic vehicle.

Maruti Suzuki S-Cross

Belonging to the Nexa family, Maruti Suzuki S Cross is a great car. Classy looks and comfortable seats coincide in the vehicle. This made it the favourite of those who showed eagerness to gain S Cross ownership. And even at a high speed of 120/130kmph, it is very stable. So, here we have tried to collect a few Suzuki S Cross owner reviews. Based on our input on the same, you can decide if you should buy this vehicle or not.

Requirements for the Vehicle

Before we get into the S Cross review, we will first see what a user usually looks for when they get a car. These were the common list of requirements.

  • A reliable, hassle-free car

  • Crossover / Mini SUV over sedans for those cross-country trips or cruising on highways

  • Petrol Manual/ automatic

  • Budget - About 10 lakhs INR which can be stretched to a maximum of 13 lakhs INR

  • Comfortable interiors

Now, following this, we will also look up to see what this Maruti S Cross Review says. Here is the S Cross petrol review.

Suzuki S Cross Review

The vehicle priced between 10 lakhs INR to 13 lakhs INR comes in 5 different hues -Caffeine Brown, Nexa Blue, Pearl Arctic White, Granite Grey, and Premium silver. Maruti S-Cross is a 5 seater car. The petrol versions of the car are Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. The top models of the vehicle, Delta, Zeta and Alpha are also available with automatic transmission. The rivals of the Maruti S Cross are Maruti Brezza, Maruti Baleno, and Renault Kiger.

Pros of Maruti Suzuki S Cross

If you look at the S Cross Petrol Review, you will see that the 4-speed automatic gearbox of the Zeta petrol version is best suited for mountain driving and high-speed overtaking.

  • It has a decent responsive engine

  • The boot space is enough to hold enough luggage

  • The Front & rear disc adds to the vehicle

  • The vehicle delivers excellent grip because of the wide tyres

The exterior of the vehicle

S Cross has an imposing front appearance and it looks bigger from the outside. Adjustable Headlights, Power adjustable exterior rear view mirror, Chrome grill and headlamps are the classic exterior features that just add to the solid looks of the vehicle.

The interior of the vehicle

The well-put-together interiors add to the relaxed feel of the vehicle and can seat 5 people in comfort. Boot space is also decent. The AC cools the vehicle easily even in the hottest of the summers. Power steering, power windows, heater, adjustable steering, and electronic multi-trip meter are standard offerings for this vehicle. The touchscreen navigation system in the vehicle is also of high quality.

Performance and mileage of the vehicle

The pickup of the engine is quite good, but enthusiasts will probably not like it. There is no noise from the engine. The ARAI recorded mileage for the vehicle is 18.55 kmpl, while the city mileage is 13.0 kmpl. The 1462cc 4-cylinder petrol engine delivers max power of 103.25bhp@6000rpm.

Safety features

While the NCAP rating of the vehicle is not available, it seems to be a pretty decent car in terms of safety. It has airbags, but only two. Other regular safety features that the car houses are Anti-Lock Braking System, Brake Assist, Central Locking, Power Door Locks, Child Safety Locks and such. The cruise control feature in the car is widely appreciated, as well.

Cons of Maruti S Cross

While the vehicle delivers satisfactory performance on hilly terrains, the fuel efficiency is not made for the mountains. A light press on the accelerator with less braking also delivers good mileage for the vehicle. One feature that the zeta variant of this vehicle mainly misses is the hill climb assist. S basic features are missing from the S Cross. These features include:

  • DRLs

  • Central control armrest

  • 6 airbags

  • Fog lights

  • Automatic climate control

  • Anti-theft alarm

  • AC rear vents

  • The digital driver dash

Conlusion - Should you buy the Suzuki S Cross?

In this Maruti S Cross review, we have given you the pros and cons of the vehicle, from the owner's perspective. It is a good buy for someone looking for class and luxury with satisfactory driving performance. The mileage though has to improve a lot. It can be a comfortable ride, solidly built with enough space.

Another thing that sets it apart is the aggressive front face and unique design. Good overall proportions and sleek windows make it look classy. However, on the downside, it's much smaller than most mid-sized sedans.
