As 2025 is ushered in, the Indian automotive space seems extremely exciting with several new car launches waiting. Expecting electric SUVs and sporty convertibles to see some action this month.

Stepping into 2025, the Indian automotive segment is ready for an assortment of exciting launches during January. This month is set for action with all-new electric vehicles (EVs) being introduced by various manufacturers in the market. Take cues from the 9 new car models that will run on Indian roads in January 2025.

List of Upcoming Cars in 2025

1. Hyundai Creta EV

The long-awaited Hyundai Creta EV is slated to be launched on January 17, 2025, during the Bharat Mobility Expo. Supposedly, the Creta EV variant has borrowed extensive design cues from the petrol version launched in January 2024, including a new steering wheel with a quad-dot logo and a steering-mounted gear selector. Automakers are yet to provide specific details on their powertrains, but a range closer to 400 km is being anticipated.

2 & 3. Mahindra BE 6 & XEV 9e

Mahindra launched "BE 6" and "XEV 9e" two models at the Unlimit India event. These two models are meant to be launched at an introductory price of Rs 18.9 lakh and Rs 21.9 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively, for Pack 1 with a smaller battery of 59 kWh. As reported, it was also indicated that more options for additional packs and larger batteries will be available at the time of their respective release in January.

4. Kia Syros

Kia Syros Expected to launch in January 2025 and seen swinging into the action some time ago, its official launch has never been seen to date. Priced above Sonet Turbo, it assures to have features and anything comfortable to hold the eye in intruding competition.

5 & 6. Tata Harrier EV & Safari EV

With two much-awaited EV, Tata Motors electrifies the flagship SUV portfolio, set to launch in January 2025. These two models, clad in heavy camouflage, should feature dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) layouts for an electric SUV with a lot of power.

7. MG Cyberster

The MG Cyberster, a two-door electric convertible sports car, will be one of the first vehicles launched into the MG Select dealership starting January 17, 2025. Its two-motor set-up impressively produces 510 bhp and 725 Nm torque, allowing the speedy version an acceleration of 0-100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds-instantly making it a very desirable car for its category.

8. Maruti Suzuki eVitara

On January 17, 2025, Maruti Suzuki will showcase its entry into electric motoring with the eVitara. This international electric SUV is rumored to have ADAS systems together with dual displays to help facilitate infotainment and driver information. With both battery variants on sale abroad, this is expected to surprise many with its performance and range of offerings.

9. Mercedes-Benz G 580 (Electric G)

The first luxury car which can be expected by the common man is mostly mass-market cars but promises to come up bright with the Mercedes-Benz G 580, also called the Electric G, or EQG, in January 2025. The powerful SUV promises to deliver anything from 579 bhp to 1,164 Nm torque and further scratches off the mark of going from 0-100 km/h in under five seconds.
