Volvo Car India has introduced the second facelift of its best-selling SUV, the XC60 at an introductory price of R71. 90 lakh (ex-showroom). The revised version offers all the improvements in terms of design, new technology and exquisite interior to the already strong midsize luxury SUV segment.
The facelifted version of the 2025 XC60 comes with a recognizable mechanical configuration, but three years after the last revision and soon after its global inauguration earlier this year.
New Alloy Designed looks and refreshed looks
Externally, the XC60 still holds onto the sleek silhouette but adds minor tweaks here, including a diagonal-slat front grille and redesigning of the 19-inch alloy wheels, making the SUV feel more connected to the top-end XC90. The India-spec model, however, does not get the smoked tail lights and the redesign of bumpers that the global version does.
Volvo has expanded the colours available on the SUV to six, and one Forest Lake tone has been added to the range, with the Platinum Grey eliminated.
Significant interior and technological improvements
Among the more marquee updates is an all-new 11.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, with a faster Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, thus providing more responsiveness and improved visuals. Luxury still permeates through the cabin as it is lined in Nappa leather with front seats featuring massage and wood inlay.
There is a 1,410 W Bowers & Wilkins audio system with 15 speakers and a 12.3-inch digital driver display fitted in the XC60.
Safety and DAS Additions
This is because the new Smart Safety Network in the Volvos offers a Level 2 Advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). Other features include adaptive cruise control, lane and piloting assists, Blind Spot alert, and cross-traffic alert (with auto brake).
The SUV also has an environmentally-friendly tail pipe design; 8 airbags, 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD and many others.
Same Engine, Smooth Power
The XC60 facelift is powered by the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol that has a power of 250hp and 360Nm. It comes with an 8-speed torque converter automatic and all-wheel-drive design. The mild-hybrid system enhances fuel consumption and acceleration via the use of a 48V battery. Volvo is claimed to have a mileage of 12.9kpl.
The 2025 XC60 intends to prove its worth again as one of the leading luxury SUV models with premium upgrades in both design, the technology facet, and safety.
