The Third Generation Honda Amaze Launch Date Released

The Third-Generation, Honda Amaze Launch Date Released

Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has officially announced the launch date for the third-generation Honda Amaze: December 4, 2024. This updated sub-4-meter sedan is set to take on competitors like the Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor, offering a radical new design and a range of upgraded features. Sales will commence shortly after the launch.

A Bold New Design

Honda has teased a bold transformation in the Amaze’s design. The 2025 Amaze boasts a muscular bonnet, sharper lines, and more aggressive styling, designed to cater to modern tastes. The LED DRLs have been repositioned above the headlights, enhancing its dynamic presence. The front grille is redesigned, possibly influenced by the latest Honda Accord, while the lower bumper features C-shaped elements for a more sporty look.

Built on the Modified City Platform

The 2025 Amaze will be based on a modified version of the Honda City platform, which is also used for the Honda Elevate. This will help keep the production process more efficient while maintaining a compact wheelbase of 2,450mm to stay within the sub-4 meter segment, benefitting from the B-segment tax bracket.

Inside: Upgraded Features

Inside, the Amaze will receive upgrades inspired by the Honda Elevate. Expect a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and a functional dashboard layout. A factory-fitted electric sunroof is also likely, adding a touch of premium luxury. However, features like ADAS, available in the City and Elevate, have not been confirmed yet.

Performance: Retaining the 1.2L Petrol Engine

Honda will continue with the 1.2L, 4-cylinder petrol engine that offers a smooth and refined performance. This engine produces 90 hp and 110 Nm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT. With no diesel option in the 2025 model, the Amaze remains one of the most refined choices in the segment, especially as rivals like the Maruti Dzire switch to a 3-cylinder engine.

Safety Features

The 2025 Amaze will come equipped with 6 airbags, 3-point ELR seatbelts, and seatbelt reminders for all seats as standard, reinforcing Honda’s commitment to offering premium safety features across its lineup.

Pricing and Expectations

The 2025 Honda Amaze is expected to be priced slightly higher than the current model, which ranges from Rs 7.3 lakh to Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom), making it a competitive offering in the sub-4 meter sedan market.

Stay tuned for more updates as the launch date approaches!
