Honda Amaze Price, Mileage and Specifications

The current model was introduced as a facelift in August 2021. The compact sedan received new cosmetic and feature upgrades over its predecessor.

Honda offers the Amaze in E, S, and VX variant options. It is worth noting, the E variant is available as a pre-facelift version, while the fresh update is limited to S as well as VX variants.

The current model is a mid-life update to the second-generation model introduced in 2018.

The Amaze is ideal for small families that seek a compact car with good boot space as compared to a hatchback.

In compliance with the latest emission norms, the Amaze is now limited to a petrol engine option.

With the Amaze, Honda aims at filling in a gap for entry-level executive sedan buyers.

As a part of the fresh update, the fascia is highlighted by a bold wing-face grille with fine chrome moulding lines.

Further, the vehicle gets an advanced LED projector headlamps setup with integrated signature LED DRLs and new LED front fog lamps.

To give it a wider appeal the lower grille on the bumper has been redesigned.

The side profile is highlighted by chrome-infused door handles, which boast a touch-sensor-based smart entry system.

The updated Amaze gets a set of 15-inch diamond-cut two-tone multi-spoke alloy wheels. The rear section is highlighted by C-shaped LED rear combination lamps.

The taillight looks distinctive with unique signature red luminescence. Moreover, the rear bumper vehicle gets chrome garnish and reflectors.

The company also introduced a Chrome Package. It includes trunk garnish sleek, tail lamp garnish, lower door garnish, and window chrome moulding.

Buyers can also opt for a utility package which includes body-side moulding, door edge garnish, front and rear bumper protectors, and door handle protectors.

The Honda Amaze gets premium upholstery along with a unique stitching pattern to enhance the appeal. The dashboard door trims feature silver ornamentation and satin silver garnish on the steering wheel. The AC vent knobs are chrome plated.

Additionally, the compact sedan now offers a new map lamp in the front, along with contoured bucket seats. Further, it gets a fabric pad on the door trims. The exclusive new beige seat fabric is limited to the top-spec VX variant.

The feature list in the five-seat compact sedan includes a seven-inch Digipad 2.0 touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, automatic climate control, coloured multi-information display (MID) and Bluetooth for the hands-free telephone.

Further, the vehicle offers a paddle shifter which is inspired by F1. It also gets a one-push Start and Stop button along with advanced functionality like voice command messages, wireless infrared remote, and audio streaming support.

The rear seats have a good recline angle for the backrest, and easy ingress and egress. However, the updated model continues to miss on rear AC vents.

The roof is likely to feel too close to tall passengers in the second row.

Honda has ensured sufficient storage spaces for all passengers. The cabin has good all-around visibility and does not feel cramped.

The safety feature list in the Amaze includes dual SRS airbags for the driver and co-driver seats in the front, a rear multi-view camera with guidelines, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX seats.

Additionally, the new Honda Amaze also offers impact-mitigating front headrests, an ECU immobiliser system, automatic headlight control with a light sensor, one-touch up and down with pinch guard on driver-side, rear parking sensors, and pedestrian injury mitigation technology.

The Honda Amaze has been awarded a four-star safety rating for adult protection and a one-star rating for child protection by the Global NCAP.

The 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine in the Honda Amaze produces 89hp at 6,000rpm and 110Nm at 4,800rpm. The discontinued diesel version was powered by a 1.5-litre i-DTECH engine.

The diesel version with a manual transmission produces 98hp at 3,600rpm and 200 Nm at 1,750rpm. On the other hand, the CVT diesel variant generates 79hp at 3,600rpm and 160 Nm of torque at 1,750rpm.

The Amaze can attain a top speed of up to 165 kmph. Honda has re-tuned the suspension unit in the Amaze and it now comfortably absorbs most bumps and undulations on the road with ease. The engine is fairly powerful and handles everyday tasks with ease.

However, the 170 mm of ground clearance can be a problem, particularly with five occupants on board. Moreover, due to a soft suspension set-up, the rear seat passengers are likely to complain about vertical movement, especially while driving through uneven roads.

Honda Amaze petrol manual transmission variant has a claimed fuel efficiency figure of 18.6kmpl, while the CVT version claims to return 18.3kmpl.

The diesel version with a manual transmission returned 24.7kmpl, while the CVT variant returned 21 kmpl.
