The Surge Affects The Top Total Bundle Legender But In Its Context

The Surge Affects the Top-Total Bundle, Legender, but in its Context

Toyota announced it would raise prices for Fortuner starting in January 2025. According to the increase in cost, Toyota plans to increase the price of Fortuner, an SUV with three rows of gas and diesel variants, to some ₹35,000–₹50,000. Fortuner has been recalled to have always been more muscular in design, robust build, and all-premium feature fitted, with prices as low as an ex-showroom priced base petrol variant for ₹33.78 lakh.

The steeper influence of this rise in oil is reflected in the introduction of the Legender. At the same time, the basic petrol variant is now priced ex-showroom at ₹33.78 lakh, making it an essential starter version. The subsequent ex-showroom pricing of the newest Fortuner is for the base petrol automatic variant at ₹35.02 lakh. The Pearl White petrol Fortuner even has a higher market price, with manual and automatic variants priced at ₹33.58 lakh and ₹35.17 lakh, respectively.

Toyota Fortuner Price Hike: January 2025

Toyota Kirloskar Motors will probably be gearing up for a price reset. It's that time of year for price adjustments, always with manufacturers jogging back two steps. Toyota and other market producers like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, and even Mahindra are joining the price-increasing bandwagon. Toyota cited rising input costs and specific safety regulations that now influence all model variants, including the Standard Sigma and Legender trims in petrol and diesel models.

Revised Pricing Across Variants

The new price fluctuation in Toyota Fortuner makes a difference of about ₹50,000 to ₹applications at present, beginning from that for basic petrol 4×2 manual transmission at ₹33.78 lakh. A little under that is the automatic petrol price of Fortuner at ₹35.02 lakh. There is a very slight premium in price for the Fortuner petrol Pearl White edition, whereas the manual and automatic versions are priced at ₹33.58 lakh and ₹35.17 lakh, respectively.

Diesel versions, too, haven't been exempted from the significant price rise. The starting price for the base 4×2 MT diesel variant is now ₹35.93 lakh, and that for the Pearl White automatic variant is ₹42.47 lakh. The top-spec Legender 4×4 AT is now priced between ₹43.66 lakh and ₹51.59 lakh. The most marked increase is in the 4×4 AT Legender Variants, Rs 50,000 Rs now to be Rs 43.66-51.59 lakhs.

Toyota Fortuner Features

Fortuner is a key contributor to Toyota in India and has become the fifth-most-selling company in December 2024. It stands out for its stylish looks, premium build, and hot and sexy features. Two- and four-wheel drive options, as well as petrol and diesel engines, are also available.

Key Features:

  • Exteriors: Designed with a bold and rugged appearance featuring 18-inch alloy wheels.

  • Interiors: Luxurious cabin for the driver with front-cooled seats, automatic climate control, and premium materials.

  • Safety: Seven airbags, traction control, TPMS, ABS, and EBD are standard. The 4x4 variant also has a hill-hold assist system, hill descent control, and electronic differential locking.

  • Drive Options: The 2H, 4H, and 4L switching modes are controlled by electronic drive select, which enables switching among the three modes as necessary.

Engine and Performance

The Toyota Fortuner offers two engine options:

2.7-Liter Petrol Engine

  • Power: 164 hp

  • Torque: 245 Nm

  • Transmission: 6-speed manual and automatic

  • Available exclusively with the 4×2 drivetrain

2.8-Liter Turbocharged Diesel Engine

  • Power: 200 hp

  • Torque: 510 Nm

  • Transmission: 6-speed manual and automatic

  • Available with both 4×2 and 4×4 drivetrain options

The diesel engine, known for its robust performance, complements the Fortuner's premium and off-road capabilities, making it a versatile choice for various driving needs.

Conclusion

With its price hike, the Toyota Fortuner remains a premium SUV, offering unmatched features and performance. Starting at ₹33.78 lakh and going up to ₹51.59 lakh (ex-showroom), it remains a favorite among SUV enthusiasts, thanks to its power-packed engines, rugged design, and luxurious interiors. If you plan to bring this iconic SUV home, be prepared for the updated pricing while enjoying its exceptional capabilities.
