The New Skoda Kodiaq Is Expected To Be Launched In India By June 2025

The new Skoda Kodiaq is expected to be launched in India by June 2025

The new Skoda Kodiaq with the 2.0-liter petrol engine was unveiled in India at the auto expo 2025, it is paired with a 7-speed DCT transmission, and as per reports the higher models will have 4X4 technology, the petrol engine produces 190 horsepower, and has gone various road tests in India to check the durability of the new Skoda Kodiaq, On the other hand, Elroq EV also made its appearance in the auto expo 2025 and is hinting an Indian launch pretty soon.

As per the reports, the Kodiaq will go on sale in the April-June quarter this year. Skoda has the top-spec Kodiaq L&K on display at the Auto Expo. The SUV has gone through various road tests in India for the past few months, and spy shots have hinted at more than one variant being readied for the India launch.

The 2.0-liter petrol engine which produces 190 horsepower and is paired to a 7-speed DCT transmission is still used in Skoda's flagship SUV. At launch, higher models will have 4X4 technology. The new Kodiaq features Skoda's "Modern Solid" design language and is marginally bigger than the previous generation. The SUV has a larger cargo and greater inside room now that it is longer than before.

Elroq EV in the pipeline

The Elroq electric SUV, which is making its debut in India, is also on display at the event in addition to the Kodiaq. Skoda sent the electric SUV to the exhibition to see how the public would react, even though it has not stated if it will introduce the Elroq in India.

The Volkswagen Group's MEB architecture, which is also utilized by the Audi Q4 and Volkswagen ID.3, among other vehicles, serves as the foundation for the Elroq. Stretched to 4.49 meters, it is considerably smaller than the Enyaq (4.65 meters) but slightly larger than the ICE-powered Karoq (4.39 meters).

Vision 7s concept for upcoming Skoda SUVs

Skoda's Vision 7S concept is not entirely novel. It made its debut as Skoda's demonstrator in 2022, giving a sneak peek at the technology and design of its upcoming cars. Skoda's new emblem and "Modern Solid" design language were among the numerous firsts hinted at in the proposal. By 2026, a seven-seater SUV based on this concept is expected to go into production.

Some of the design influences from the concept are already present in the Elroq electric SUV, even if the brand-new SUV based on the Vision 7S isn't available yet.

The Vision 7S concept not only shows off the outside but also the interior, which is button-free and tidy with an oval-shaped steering wheel and center boss design.
