Tata Nexon EV ADAS Launched at ₹17.29 Lakh in India

Tata Motors has expanded the Nexon EV lineup with ADAS-equipped models, priced from ₹17.29 lakh onwards. Offered in three variants, including special Dark and Red Dark Editions, the SUV now combines advanced driver assistance systems with premium features and an impressive claimed range of 489km.

ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) has been formally launched in the Nexon EV lineup by Tata Motors, and it is currently one of the cheapest electric SUVs in India to have this technology.

The new ADAS-equipped variants begin with prices of 17.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The models are three trims: Empowered +A 45, Empowered +A 45 Dark and Empowered +A 45 Red Dark, with a price range of 17.29 lakh to 17.49 lakh.

The ADAS package introduces such vital safety features as lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, lane centring, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, and high beam assist, which are normally considered premium features.

Dark and Red Dark Design and Special Editions

Tata has also unveiled special Dark and Red Dark Editions of the Nexon EV ADAS variants in addition to the safety tech. The Dark Edition has an all-black exterior finish with blacked-out details and a fully black interior, whereas the Red Dark Edition features a combination of black paint and otherwise bright red accents to make it sportier. The two versions have distinctive interior themes compared to the standard models.

Premium Features on Offer

The ADAS-equipped Nexon EV does not sacrifice comfort and convenience. The main feature is a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment, voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, rear sun blinds, ambient light and the latest V2V (Vehicle to Vehicle) and V2L (Vehicle to Load) technology allowing owners to charge other devices and even power appliances using the car.

Powertrain and Range

The Nexon EV under the floor, or under the hood, still has its 45kWh battery pack and is combined with one electric motor. This arrangement generates 143bhp and 215Nm of torque. Tata boasts a range of 489km per charge and as such can be used as a viable alternative during city travels and as well as longer route journeys on weekends.

Conclusion

Tata Nexon EV has been able to consolidate its market presence in the Indian electric SUV market with the inclusion of ADAS and the new special editions. With its high-tech safety elements, the design of a high-quality feature set, and reasonable prices, the Nexon EV ADAS models can be seen as a convincing offer that will attract the attention of customers who consider affordable and high-tech electric mobility.
