Tata Motors To Steal The Show Prepares For Triple Car Launch

Tata Motors to steal the show prepares for triple car launch

Tata Motors is India’s car brand which undoubtedly is one of the favourite options for Indian Middle-class families. Tata Motors had an absolute successful 2023 with its sales touching peaks. After the success in 2023, Tata is gearing up to introduce three new models to the Indian market in 2024. For 2024, the Indian carmaker plans to launch at least three models in our market, which should help it continue its stellar run. The Nexon range is scheduled to expand with the addition of CNG-powered variants, while the Altroz line-up will have a sportier variant. Tata will also bring its first all-new model in three years – the Curvv.

Tata Nexon

With the Tiago and Tigor iCNG receiving AMTs, Tata has already unveiled the first CNG-automatic vehicles in India. Tata will introduce another industry first with the debut of the Nexon iCNG, which it displayed at the Bharat Mobility Expo this year: a factory-built turbocharged CNG-powered vehicle.

The 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged engine powering the ordinary petrol Nexon will also power the CNG variant. Tata is anticipated to have an AMT option in addition to the manual gearbox that would be standard. It is anticipated that the Nexon iCNG will cost roughly Rs 1 lakh more than the comparable petrol version.

Tata Altroz Racer

The Altroz Racer, Tata's response to the Hyundai i20 N Line, is about to go on sale. Spying on the sporty Altroz has revealed features about the vehicle that were initially shown at the Auto Expo a few years back. The Racer's 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, which it shares with the Altroz iTurbo, produces 120 horsepower (10 horsepower more) and a 6-speed manual transmission (vs the iTurbo's 5-speed).

'Racer' badges, a slightly modified grille, and twin racing stripes on the bonnet and roof are some of the other distinctions between the Altroz Racer and the regular hatchback. The Racer will come with a new 10.25-inch touchscreen, segment-first ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, six airbags, ESC, a heads-up display, and a voice-activated sunroof, among other safety features.

The Tata Curvv

The much-awaited midsize SUV from Tata will finally go on sale in the upcoming months; the launch of the Curvv has been delayed by several months, but it will still happen this year around the holidays. The first vehicle on the schedule is the Curvv EV, which will utilize Tata's Gen 2 Acti. ev architecture and have a range of approximately 450–500 km. Technical specifications are yet unclear.

It is anticipated that the gasoline and diesel versions will go into production in September and go on sale in the last quarter of 2024 or the first quarter of 2025. Tata's new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 125 horsepower will power the Curvv petrol, which will be available with a manual or automatic gearbox. The 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine in the Curvv is anticipated to be shared by the Nexon, which is mated to 6-speed manual and AMT gears. Later on, a CNG-powered Curvv is also anticipated.

Tata plans to outfit the Curvv with amenities and technology that rival those in the same market segment, such as cooled seats, a 360-degree camera, and 10.25-inch infotainment and driver display screens. It is unclear if ADAS has a role in this.
