Tata Harrier EV Wait Time 7 Months amidst high demand

The new Tata Harrier EV has stormed the market with around 10,000 bookings being registered within a day of its launch. Wait time can be up to 30 weeks, which is why buyers will have to be patient before getting a hold of this feature-rich electric SUV.

Tata Harrier EV

Tata Motors has now found the centre stage after releasing the Harrier EV, its new flagship electric SUV, costing Rs 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Within only 24 hours of bookings, Tata has been able to secure nearly 10,000 pre-orders, which is indicative of colossal demand by customers.

This high demand however, has seen the long waiting time of about 12 weeks to 30 weeks, depending on the variant and the dealership site.

Variant-Wise Waiting Periods

The basic model Adventure 65 and the Adventure 65 ACFC models have the longest queues of 28-30weeks. Intermediate door panels such as the Adventure S 65, S 65 ACFC, Fearless+ 65, and Fearless+ 75, as well as their fast charge versions, are coming with wait times of 18 to 21 weeks.

Buyers who choose a higher specification Empowered 75kWh ones have to wait a comparatively shorter period, spanning 12 to 15 weeks.

Price List and Variants

Here’s a quick price overview of the Tata Harrier EV lineup (ex-showroom):

  • Adventure 65 – Rs 21.49 lakh

  • Adventure S 65 – Rs 21.99 lakh

  • Fearless+ 65 – Rs 23.99 lakh

  • Fearless+ 75 – Rs 24.99 lakh

  • Empowered 75 – Rs 27.49 lakh

  • Empowered 75 QWD – Rs 28.99 lakh

The AC fast charger, with its installation costing an added Rs 49,000, is also an option that buyers can select, and so are Stealth Editions that were priced at an added Rs 75,000.

Power, Performance and Range

The Harrier EV will be offered to customers in two battery configurations: a 65kWh with RWD and a 75kWh coupled with AWD dual motors producing 313bph and 504Nm. It accelerates to 0-100km/h in 6.3 s (Boost mode).

The bigger battery models promise a stunning MIDC-certified range of 622-627 km. Tata is throwing in a lifetime warranty with the battery, which makes it one of the best EV offers in the country nowadays.
