Tata Harrier EV has already received 10,000 bookings on its first day.

Tata Motors' newest electric SUV, the Harrier EV, crashed in with a phenomenal thunderstorm, amid which 10000 vehicles were booked in a day. The Harrier EV will be a revolutionary product in the high-end EV segment of India as it is priced at 21.49 lakhs in its starting variant and has a top-notch technological package. Deliveries are perhaps to be anticipated in the next few weeks.

Another major feat by Tata Motors is that within just 24 hours, the new entry of an electric vehicle, Harrier EV, showed a remarkable booking of 10,000 vehicles in India.

Available at a starting price of 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the electric SUV officially entered the market on July 6, leaving an immeasurable interest in consumers waiting to buy one.

The Pune plant of Tata is already in production, and it is assumed that the deliveries will commence shortly.

Powertrain and performance, Variants

The Tata Harrier EV is developed with the new acti.ev+ platform of the brand, and it comes in a Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and Quad-Wheel Drive (QWD) variant. It has only two electric motors that produce a stunning 390 bhp and 504 Nm of torque.

Therefore, it will have excellent performance that most SUVs cannot match. Expectedly, the Harrier EV has a range of up to 622km on a full charge, which is one of the highest in its segment, although the exact figure depends on the variant.

The variant lineup includes:

  • Adventure 65

  • Adventure S 65

  • Fearless+ 65

  • Fearless+ 75

  • Empowered 75 (RWD)

  • Empowered QWD 75 (AWD)

Feature-Loaded to the Brim

Tata is loading the Harrier EV with a 12.3-inch Harman infotainment system and Samsung Neo QLED technology, a 10.25-inch fully digital cluster, Level 2-Advanced Driver Assistance System, and a 540-degree Surround View camera system - a segment-first. Its cabin also features a 10-speaker Dolby Atmos JBL audio setup that offers a top-class audio experience in the car.

On the other hand, aesthetically, in case someone wants something more aggressive, the Stealth Edition has an all-black exterior and interior theme, which further enhances its design.

A Premium EV Game-changer

The Tesla Model S is pushing the boundaries of radio frequency pace on the road. Tesla has been known to challenge the norm with this car by being the first of its kind to launch lightning-fast speed in the form of radio frequency on the road.

This car in a way has shaken up the market of premium cars that could change the face of the premium car industry, where this car is seen as the game-changer.

The huge reception is attributed to increasing consumer confidence in electric vehicles, particularly to domestic carmakers. The Harrier EV has the winning combination of features and styling that may make it an essential part of the rapidly growing Indian EV market.
