As 2023 is nearing its end, carmakers are offering a host of discounts, including Tata Motors. The carmaker is offering discounts on select models and up to Rs 1.5 lakh off in terms of various benefits. Tata Motors intends to increase the price of its models in India as a result of rising inflation and input costs. But the company is giving big discounts on well-liked models like the Tata Tiago EV and Tata Tigor before the prices go up in January 2024.
Discounts on Tata Tiago EV can reach up to Rs 80,000
There are two battery options for the Tiago EV: medium range and long range. The mid-range option has a 250 km range on the MIDC cycle and is powered by a 19.2 kWh battery that generates 110 Nm of torque and 61 horsepower from the front-axle-mounted electric motor. On the other hand, the long-range variant boasts a larger 24kWh battery with a 315km MIDC cycle range and 114Nm and 74 horsepower.
Up to Rs 80,000 for the older models and up to Rs 35,000 for the MY2024 model is the total discount offered to the Tiago EV. An exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 and a green bonus of Rs 20,000 are included in the total benefits offered for the MY2024 model for all variants. A Rs 15,000 exchange bonus and a Rs 65,000 green bonus are included in the overall discount for older Tiago EV models. Priced between Rs 8.69 lakh and Rs 12.04 lakh, the Tiago EV competes with vehicles like the MG Comet, Citroen eC3, and Tata Punch EV.
Discounts on Tata Tigor EV reach up to 1.15 Lacs
The 26kWh lithium-ion battery powers the Tigor EV, which has a 315km stated range according to ARAI. An electric motor with synchronous permanent magnets and 75 horsepower and 170 Nm of torque is powered by this battery.
The Tigor EV, a compact sedan that competes with the Tiago EV, is eligible for a maximum discount of Rs 1.05 lakh. This includes an exchange bonus of Rs 30,000 and a flat cash discount of Rs 75,000 for all variants.
