Tata Curvv Launched In India A Bold New Entry Into The Coupe Suv Segment

Tata Curvv Launched in India: A Bold New Entry into the Coupe SUV Segment

Tata Motors has officially unveiled the much-anticipated Curvv coupe SUV, marking a bold new entry in the mid-size SUV segment. Priced from Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Curvv is positioned as a stylish alternative to the likes of the Citroen Basalt, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and other mid-size SUVs. This price is an introductory offer for bookings made before 31 October 2024, making it a strong contender for those seeking premium features at a competitive price.

Design and Aesthetic Appeal

The Tata Curvv boasts a striking design, highlighted by a signature sloping roofline that gives it a distinct coupe-like silhouette. Up front, the SUV features sleek LED light bars and split LED headlamps that add to its futuristic appeal. The rear design is equally impressive, with inverted L-shaped LED taillights and a continuous light bar connecting both ends. The Curvv rides on dual-tone alloy wheels, while the flush-fitting door handles and blacked-out ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) add to the vehicle’s sleek look. Glossy black cladding around the lower body and a shark-fin antenna enhance its sporty character. Buyers can choose from six vibrant colour options: Gold Essence, Pure Grey, Opera Blue, Flame Red, Pristine White, and Daytona Grey.

Feature-Packed Interior

The interior of the 2024 Tata Curvv is designed to impress, offering a host of premium features typically found in higher-end SUVs. At the heart of the cabin is a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system paired with a fully digital coloured instrument cluster. The cabin’s premium feel is further elevated by a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and a four-spoke steering wheel adorned with an illuminated Tata logo.

Other notable features include touch controls for the AC functions, a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, a faux carbon-fibre finish on the dashboard, and drive modes. Rear passengers are not left out, with rear AC vents and a rear seat recline function adding to the comfort. Safety and convenience are paramount, with features such as an electric parking brake, a wireless charger, six-way power-adjustable driver seat, engine start-stop button, and an auto-dimming IRVM. The Curvv also comes with Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) for added safety.

Powertrain Options

Tata offers the Curvv with three powertrain options to cater to different driving preferences. The choices include a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, a 1.2-litre GDi turbo-petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The new 1.2-litre GDi motor produces 123bhp and 225Nm of torque, providing a balance of performance and efficiency. Transmission options include a six-speed manual and a DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) unit, catering to both manual enthusiasts and those seeking the convenience of an automatic gearbox.

Variants and Availability

Tata Motors has ensured that the Curvv caters to a broad range of buyers by offering it in eight variants: Smart, Pure+, Pure+ S, Creative, Creative S, Creative+ S, Accomplished S, and Accomplished+ A. Each variant is designed to offer a mix of features and price points, ensuring that there is a Curvv for everyone.

With its attractive pricing, bold design, and feature-rich interior, the Tata Curvv is set to make waves in the Indian SUV market. Whether you're looking for style, comfort, or performance, the Curvv promises to deliver it all.
