Skoda Kodiaq RS Exhibited for India Prior to 2026 Release

Prior to its anticipated mid-2026 introduction, Skoda has unveiled its most potent SUV to date, the Kodiaq RS, which is headed for India. The RS, which has a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine and all-wheel drive, offers quick speed, improved handling, and a unique design. Customers can anticipate a more sporty cabin with high-end amenities and technology. The RS, a sophisticated seven-seat vehicle built for Indian roads, is positioned above the regular Kodiaq to appeal to enthusiasts looking for performance without compromising room, safety, and daily utility.

  • In the middle of 2026, India will receive a performance-focused Skoda Kodiaq RS.

  • Compared to the basic Kodiaq, the SUV has a more potent engine, a sportier exterior, and a higher-end interior.

An exciting new addition to Skoda's SUV lineup, the Kodiaq RS, is headed for India. This performance-focused variant of the well-liked Kodiaq is scheduled to launch in the second quarter of 2026, making it the first SUV bearing the RS badge to enter the Indian market.

Skoda is marketing it as an SUV that combines power and daily utility into one package, making it exciting to drive and useful for families.

More Punch and Power Underneath the Bonnet

A 2.0-liter TSI turbo-petrol engine, a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive are the main components of the Kodiaq RS. With a claimed top speed of 231 km/h, this configuration produces about 261 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, a significant boost over the regular Kodiaq's output. It also enables the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in roughly 6.3 seconds.

There are more performance improvements than just the engine. In order to enhance handling and control, the RS model is anticipated to include larger brakes and adjustable dampers, making it a more engaging drive than its traditional brothers.

Vibrant Designs and High-End Interiors

The Kodiaq RS distinguishes itself visually with a more aggressive front end. Its athletic aim is highlighted by a blacked-out grille, revised bumpers, and 20-inch alloy wheels with red brake calipers. The dynamic appearance is enhanced with gloss-black external components on the window surrounds, mirror caps, and roof rails.

With all-black leather, red contrast stitching, and RS branding, the cabin's interior adopts a performance-focused motif. A fully digital driver display and a sizable 13-inch infotainment screen are positioned in the middle of the dashboard, fusing contemporary technology with the SUV's aggressive style.

Since the Kodiaq RS is probably going to be imported as a completely constructed unit (CBU), its price is often greater than that of versions that are produced locally. According to estimates, it might be in the premium pricing range, attracting consumers looking for a special combination of SUV functionality and performance.

The Kodiaq RS has the potential to make a name for itself in India's expanding SUV industry thanks to its combination of improved power, eye-catching design, and cozy amenities. This is especially true for enthusiasts seeking something more aggressive than a typical family SUV.
