Skoda Dark Editions of Kylaq, Slavia and Kushaq teased

Skoda India is in preparatory mode to launch dark-themed special editions of its Kylaq, Kushaq and Slavia models. With the blacked-out styling and red highlights, these editions will bring a very striking change thanks to the proven petrol powertrains and manual and automatic gearboxes. All the details will be shown on 11 August.

Skoda India has released a teaser of an interesting special edition in the line of dark special themes of the Kylaq, Kushaq, and Slavia, and the official launch will be done on 11 August.

The teaser provides a dark outline of the three models, which go completely unseen under a coat of deep black paint. The only elements exposed on these vehicles are the shades and minute design textures.

It will, significantly, be the first-ever special edition of the recently-launched Kylaq, but the Slavia sedan and Kushaq have in the past been available in limited-spec cosmetic packages.

Sporty Language

Based on the teaser, all three models will have the same basic exterior colour, black, by which the outer-body parts like grille, alloy wheels, and badges will be blacked out. The visual changes also do not end with the facelift; a closer observation will reveal red brake callipers and red accents in the door cladding inserts, giving the otherwise stealthy look an initial sporty element.

This integrative design by the three creates some uniformity in their branding and thus makes them appealing to those buyers who need to buy cars with a style and also want that exclusivity.

Cosmetic Changes Only — Mechanical Setup Unchanged

Mechanically, the special editions should be the same as their standard cars, with a significant styling refresher happening. It translates to the fact that the Kylaq, Kushaq, and Slavia will remain accompanied by the established Skoda line of petrol engines and their manual or automated gearbox combinations.

It will make the dark editions have the same performance and driving characteristics as the ones customers love, but provide a new-looking product.

Then there is the first Kylaq Special Edition

To the Kylaq, it is a new milestone since it is the first special edition ever produced since it was launched in India. It is also indicative of the fact that Skoda intends to keep the buzz of its newest SUV, which has been achieved through design-oriented revisions.

What’s Next?

The full revelation is due on 11 August and potential customers can anticipate Skoda to provide precise pricing and positioning of the variants and availability. There is a lot to look forward to in these dark-themed editions as instilled by the teaser, given how it turns heads and provides a hint of aggression on top of Skoda lineage, which happens to be sharp as is.
