Renault India is also commemorating 10 years of Kwid through its 10th Anniversary Edition. Therefore, compared to other products of Renault products, the Kwid has achieved substantial returns to the company in India since its launch in 2015, combining SUV-like appearance with the utility of a hatchback. The anniversary edition is now an important milestone in its course.
Special Edition Highlights
The anniversary model is priced at Rs. 5.14 lakh (manual); the model with AMT costs 5.63 lakh, ex-showroom, depending on the Techno trim, with only 500 units.
The special edition model is packaged in a couple of exclusive dual-tone colours: Fiery Red and Shadow Grey, both using a black roof. The cosmetic changes are glossy black flex wheels, yellow grille inserts, and anniversary decals on both the doors and C-pillar.
Cabin Upgrades
Indoors, the Kwid 10th Anniversary Edition is distinguished by the seat upholstery, which is decorated with accents using yellow colour, steering wheel, as well as approved door trims with anniversary colours.
These little yet unnecessary details make the cabin more elite and festive.
Last Refresh Old Remodel with New Nomenclature
Renault has revised the whole range of Kwid, along with the special edition. The models have also been fitted with three-point seatbelts in all variants, and the Climber model has been subjected to a major safety upgrade with 6 airbags.
The model names, too, have undergone an uplift - Evolution (previously RXL), Techno (previously RXT) and Climber.
Engine and Pricing
Kwid is powered by a 1.0-litre version of the traditional petrol engine with either a five-speed manual or AMT gearbox. The new models will begin at an ex-showroom price of 4.29 lakh as the base model and 4.99 lakh as the AMT models.
Value-for-Money City Hatchback
It's rough design, 184 mm ground clearance, and an eight-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay make the Kwid remain a position as a low-price rival to the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 with a unique SUV-like style.
