Mahindra is planning to introduce the updated three-door Thar on 3 October 2025. New shots at a dealer stockyard prove that the brand practice of rugged off-roader is on its mid-cycle refresh with design modifications and already added functionality, yet keeping its central identity.
Exterior Changes Spotted
The most significant modifications are visible in the front part of the car, where the Thar facelift has been equipped with a redesigned grille, as well as with a reprofiled bumper.
Although the test model was more or less disguised, body and pose are very Thar with its upright proportions and squared wheel arches and stocky tyres. A rear camera is also another significant addition, and as can be seen, it was all proven by the live feed shown on the infotainment unit that was also updated.
Interior Enhancements
Mahindra has also made some minor, but valuable updates, internally. The cabin has also been equipped with an armrest positioned in the front seat with two cupholders, making it more convenient for day-to-day commuting.
Although the general dashboard design remains the same, people still hope that there will be high-quality materials and a few adjustments to increase the overall quality. The new infotainment system will also add a more prominent role to the appeal of the SUV and will also make it somewhat closer to roughness and civilian utility.
Powertrain Details
Although Mahindra has not officially announced the specials, the facelift should inherently have the current set of petrol and diesel choices, which are provided in manual and automatic versions. It implies that buyers can still cherish the acceptable performance and off-road attributes that the Thar is renowned for.
Rugged Yet More Usable
The changes are expected to help Mahindra build a stronger reputation for Thar as an SUV in terms of lifestyle. The lift belongs to improving the comfort and utility without sacrificing the rough nature, turning the Thar into one of the most well-known SUVs in India.
