Octavia RS and Skoda Kodiaq RS Finalised for India | Upcoming Performance Models

To bolster its enthusiast-focused lineup, Skoda has confirmed the introduction of two exciting RS performance vehicles for India. The incoming Kodiaq RS, which combines powerful turbo-petrol power with all-wheel drive and athletic appearance, will be the brand's first performance SUV in the nation. In response to the high demand from consumers looking for a quick, high-end, and driver-focused sedan, Skoda will also release another small batch of the beloved Octavia RS.

  • Skoda's performance-focused vehicle ambitions for India include the impending release of the Kodiaq RS and a second batch of the well-liked Octavia RS.

  • It describes the power, design, and market approach that set these RS models apart.

Performance car enthusiasts will be thrilled by the announcements made by Skoda Auto India to kick off 2026. The Czech automaker has confirmed plans for two high-performance RS models in India, in addition to the redesigned Kushaq and extended versions of the Kylaq.

The main attraction is the Skoda Kodiaq RS, which will be the brand's first performance SUV in the nation when it launches in the second quarter of 2026.

Additionally, in response to high demand for the previous limited edition, Skoda has unveiled a new batch of its Octavia RS performance sedans for Indian consumers.

The Kodiaq RS's Unique Features

The Kodiaq RS adds a sportier edge to Skoda's current seven-seat SUV. A 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine that produces about 265 PS and 400 Nm of torque, along with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and all-wheel drive system, is anticipated to power it. This engine is shared with the Octavia RS. It can sprint quickly and reach a greater top speed thanks to these numbers, which give it a lot more performance than the typical Kodiaq.

A blacked-out grille, bolder bumpers, wider alloy wheels, red brake callipers, and a darker, contrast-stitched upholstery that highlights its sporting nature are among the cosmetic improvements added to the RS variant.

Octavia RS Makes a Stylish Return

The Octavia RS has already made a comeback to the Indian market, but fans swiftly snatched up the few available cars. With a potent turbo-petrol engine and a 7-speed DSG gearbox, this performance-focused sedan stands out and offers dynamic performance and captivating driving characteristics. With sports seats, contrast stitching, and unique badging, its external and interior design further emphasize its RS identity.

In order to satisfy ongoing customer interest, Skoda has announced plans for an additional batch of about 100 units.

These announcements demonstrate Skoda's intention to increase its market share in India's performance and premium markets. The Octavia RS strengthens the brand's appeal among sedan fans, while the Kodiaq RS may draw customers seeking a unique blend of seven-seat practicality and dynamic performance.

Both models are positioned to be specialized yet appealing options for people seeking performance with a European flair due to their limited supply and perhaps high price.
