Next-Gen Kia Seltos Spied: Bold Design and Hybrid Powertrain Expected

Kia Seltos: A New Generation Awaits

Kia Motors is preparing for an exciting year ahead with multiple model launches globally and in India. One of its most successful SUVs, the Kia Seltos, is gearing up for a generational upgrade. Recently, the next-generation Seltos was spotted testing under heavy camouflage, revealing glimpses of its revamped design and potential updates.

Heavily Redesigned Exterior for a Bold Statement

The spy shots indicate that the next-gen Kia Seltos will undergo significant exterior changes. The front fascia will feature a wider, more prominent grille accompanied by redesigned larger headlamps flanked by striking vertical LED DRLs. This design evolution aligns with Kia’s modern design language while giving the Seltos a more aggressive and sophisticated look.

At the rear, the SUV will sport connected taillamps with a fresh design that extends to the bumper, enhancing its road presence. Slightly tweaked alloy wheels further refine the sporty aesthetics of the SUV, ensuring it stands out in its segment.

Interior and Features Expectations

While the interior details are yet to be revealed, it is anticipated that the next-gen Seltos will feature a completely revamped cabin. Kia is likely to offer premium upgrades, including:

  • An expanded infotainment system with more sophisticated connectivity features.

  • A cluster of instruments that are entirely digital creating a futuristic vibe.

  • Enhanced ADAS capabilities to increase convenience and safety.

  • For a more opulent experience, use plush materials and modern seating arrangements.

Powertrains: Introducing Hybrid Technology?

The new Seltos is expected to retain its reliable 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. However, the big highlight could be the introduction of a petrol-hybrid powertrain, aligning with Kia’s push towards greener technology. With many manufacturers bringing hybrid SUVs in 2025, the Seltos hybrid could become a game-changer in its category.

Showcase and Launch Timeline

The next-generation Kia Seltos is likely to make its global debut at the Seoul Mobility Show 2025, setting the stage for its eventual arrival in global and Indian markets. This upgraded Seltos aims to strengthen Kia’s position in the competitive SUV segment, building on its legacy of style, technology, and performance.
