New Maruti Dzire Vs Old Maruti Dzire A Quick Check

New Maruti Dzire vs Old Maruti Dzire: A Quick Check

After much anticipation, the new-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire has been officially revealed, introducing a fresh look and comprehensive upgrades over the previous model.

Based on the latest fourth-gen Swift platform, the Dzire now showcases an enhanced design, added tech features, and improved functionality to appeal to India’s compact sedan buyers.

Pre-bookings are now open across Maruti Arena showrooms and the Maruti Suzuki website, with an initial booking amount of Rs 11,000.

Design Refresh

While maintaining its signature shape, the new Maruti Dzire has undergone a notable redesign. Measuring 3,995 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width, and 1,525 mm in height, the sedan retains similar proportions to its predecessor.

However, it’s the details that set the new model apart. The Dzire now sports a gloss-black, vertically-slatted grille accented with chrome trim, seamlessly connecting the sleek projector LED headlamps.

Integrated with LED DRLs and turn indicators, these headlamps add a sharper, more modern look to the front fascia. Glossy black bezels surround the fog lamps, and the grille is integrated within a blacked-out assembly with horizontal slats for a bold appearance.

The rear of the Dzire features a slightly reshaped tail gate with a chrome garnish and Y-shaped LED tail lamps. These design updates help to elevate the sedan’s premium appeal, making it a more distinguished presence on the road.

Enhanced Features and Interior Tech

Inside, the Dzire’s cabin layout has been thoroughly modernized. The centerpiece is a new 9-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.

Maruti Suzuki has also added high-end features such as an Arkamys sound system, 360-degree camera, wireless phone charging, and an electric sunroof, making this Dzire the most feature-rich model yet. For added convenience, it includes auto-folding ORVMs on car locking, rear AC vents, Type-C charging ports, and a rear defogger.

Safety has been given a significant upgrade with the inclusion of six airbags, Hill-Hold Assist, ESP, and ISOFIX child seat anchors. With connected car technology and additional driving aids, the new Dzire ensures a safer, more comfortable driving experience.

Powertrain Updates

The new Dzire introduces a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder Z-series petrol engine delivering 81 bhp and 112 Nm of torque, which marks a slight decrease in power compared to the outgoing model. However, buyers can still choose between a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT transmission for convenience. Maruti Suzuki has also introduced a CNG variant with a 69 bhp power output, catering to consumers who prioritize fuel efficiency.

With its refreshed design, extensive feature list, and multiple powertrain options, the new-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire is poised to capture attention in the competitive compact sedan segment in India.
