New Maruti Dzire Secures A 5 Star Gncap Safety Rating

New Maruti Dzire secures a 5-star GNCAP safety rating

The newly launched 2024 Maruti Dzire, priced at ₹6.79 lakh, redefines India’s compact sedan market. The new Dzire has been upgraded to become a segment-first 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP. This compact sedan, with its refreshed design, offers enhanced safety and features while maintaining its reputation for style, comfort, and affordability.

Fresh Design and Enhanced Features

The 2024 Maruti Dzire features a refreshed design that adds elegance and appeal to this popular sedan. Up front, it sports a large grille with horizontal slats, sleek LED daytime running lights (DRLs), and new Y-shaped LED tail lamps connected by a chrome strip, giving the Dzire a modern look.

The car sits on stylish 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and its proportions, with a length of 3,995 mm, provide a good balance of compact size and spaciousness.

Inside, the Dzire’s cabin has been upgraded to a premium look with black and beige color schemes and wooden accents on the dashboard. The spacious interior is fitted with a 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, enhancing the infotainment experience.

Additionally, the Dzire has been equipped with a newly factory-installed sunroof which is also a segment-first feature in compact sedans.

Safety First: A 5-Star Rating

In a historic move for Maruti, the 2024 Dzire achieved a 5-star safety rating from the Global New Car Assessment Program (GNCAP), with strong scores in both adult and child occupant protection. This makes it the first Maruti vehicle to achieve such a high safety rating.

The safety package includes six airbags, electronic stability control, anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution (ABS with EBD), reverse parking sensors and cruise control.

For added convenience, it also features a push-button start/stop function, giving drivers more control and peace of mind.

Impressive Engine Options and Mileage

The 2024 Dzire comes equipped with a new 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder Z-Series petrol engine that produces 81 horsepower and 112 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual transmission or an automated manual transmission (AMT).

When it comes to fuel efficiency, the Dzire stands out, offering excellent mileage in its class. The manual variants provide 24.79 km/l, while the AMT variants achieve 25.71 km/l, making it a budget-friendly option for those focused on running costs.

Additionally, Maruti has launched CNG options for the Dzire right from the start, available in the VXi and ZXi trims. The CNG variant delivers an impressive 33.73 km/kg, offering Indian drivers a more eco-friendly and fuel-efficient option.

Variety of Choices and Competitive Pricing

The Dzire lineup includes multiple variants, with prices ranging from ₹6.79 lakh for the base LXi petrol manual to ₹10.14 lakh for the top-end ZXi+ AGS (ex-showroom). This range provides options for different needs and budgets, from first-time buyers to families looking for a stylish, fuel-efficient sedan.

With new color options such as Gallant Red, Nutmeg Brown, Alluring Blue, and more, Maruti gives buyers a range of seven shades to choose from, allowing for more personalization.

Overall, The 2024 Maruti Dzire combines style, safety, and performance in a way that solidifies its leadership in the sedan market. With a 5-star safety rating, an impressive mileage range, and enhanced design features, the new Dzire appeals to both new buyers and loyal fans.
