MG Majestor & M9: New 7-Seater SUVs Launching in India

MG Motor is set to expand its Indian lineup with two new 7-seater vehicles—the Majestor SUV and the M9 electric MPV—catering to the growing demand for spacious and feature-rich family vehicles.

MG Motor India is gearing up to launch two new 7-seater vehicles: the Majestor SUV and the M9 electric MPV. These models aim to cater to the increasing demand for spacious and premium family vehicles in the Indian market.

MG Majestor: A Premium 7-Seater SUV

The MG Majestor is a more upscale version of the Gloster SUV, featuring enhanced design elements and additional features. Under the hood, it is expected to house a 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel engine producing 216 bhp and 479 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and available with a 4x4 drivetrain option.

Design-wise, the Majestor showcases a bold front fascia with a blacked-out grille, split LED headlamps, and a rugged silver bash plate. The side profile features black cladding and 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, while the rear is adorned with connected LED taillights and dual exhaust outlets.

Inside, the Majestor is expected to offer a premium cabin with features such as a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, ventilated and powered front seats, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

MG M9: A Luxury Electric MPV

The MG M9 is an upcoming electric MPV designed to offer luxury and sustainability. It is anticipated to be powered by a 90 kWh battery pack, delivering a claimed range of approximately 430 km on a single charge. The electric motor is expected to produce 245 bhp and 350 Nm of torque.

The M9 will be available in both 7- and 8-seater configurations, featuring amenities such as dual sunroofs, powered and ventilated seats with massage functions, ambient lighting, rear entertainment screens, and Level 2 ADAS features.

Launch Timeline and Pricing

MG Motor plans to launch the M9 electric MPV in July 2025, followed by the Majestor SUV in August 2025. The M9 is expected to be priced around ₹65 lakh, while the Majestor is anticipated to range between ₹40 lakh and ₹45 lakh (ex-showroom).

These upcoming launches reflect MG Motor’s commitment to expanding its portfolio in India, offering vehicles that combine performance, luxury, and advanced technology to meet the evolving needs of Indian consumers.
