Maruti Fronx Gets a Price Hike Across All Variants – New Prices Start at Rs 7.52 Lakh

Maruti Suzuki has revised the prices of the Fronx, with a hike of up to Rs 5,500 on select variants. The price increase applies to all trims, but the compact SUV continues to offer a blend of style, features, and fuel-efficient powertrains. Here's everything you need to know about the updated pricing, engine options, and features.

Maruti Suzuki has implemented a price hike across the entire Fronx lineup, with the increase ranging up to Rs 5,500 on select variants. The revised prices come into effect this month, following the brand’s earlier announcement regarding the February 2025 price revision across its model range. With this update, the Maruti Fronx now starts at Rs 7.52 lakh and goes up to Rs 13.04 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

Price Hike Breakdown: What’s Changed?

While all Fronx variants have seen a price bump, certain models have been affected more than others. The Delta 1.2 AGS, Delta Plus 1.2 AGS, and Delta Plus (O) 1.2 AGS have received the highest increase of Rs 5,500, making them slightly more expensive for buyers opting for these specific trims. Meanwhile, all other Fronx variants have seen a smaller increase of Rs 500 each.

Despite the price revision, the Fronx remains a competitive offering in the compact SUV space, offering a blend of modern styling, feature-packed interiors, and multiple powertrain choices.

Maruti Fronx: Engine and Transmission Options

The Maruti Fronx is available with two petrol engine options and a factory-fitted CNG variant, giving buyers a variety of choices based on their preferences.

  • 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 90hp and 113Nm of torque, available with a five-speed manual and a five-speed AMT (AGS) gearbox.

  • 1.0-litre turbo-petrol Boosterjet engine producing 100hp and 148Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission for those looking for better performance.

  • 1.2-litre CNG version, which prioritizes fuel efficiency, offering an eco-friendly alternative to petrol-only variants.

Variant Options and Features

The Fronx is available in six broad variants – Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Delta+ (O), Zeta, and Alpha – and comes in 10 color options, allowing customers to personalize their SUV to their taste.

The Fronx features a bold crossover design, a high-tech interior with a floating infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a heads-up display, a 360-degree camera, and six airbags on higher trims for added safety.

Competition and Market Position

The Maruti Fronx competes with compact SUVs and crossovers like the Tata Punch, Hyundai Exter, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite. Despite the price hike, it continues to be an attractive choice in the segment due to Maruti’s strong brand value, fuel-efficient engines, and extensive service network.

Conclusion

With the new price increase, the Maruti Fronx remains a solid contender in the compact SUV market. The impact of the hike is minimal for most variants, and buyers still get a well-rounded package with modern features, efficient engines, and Maruti’s trusted reliability. If you’ve been considering the Fronx, now might be the right time to make your purchase before any further price revisions.
