Mahindra Teased the Vision.SXT before its launch at Freedom_Nu 2025.

Mahindra is teasing a bold, rugged look on the upcoming Vision.SXT pickup truck teased with a new image closely resembling the design of the Thar. It is being launched at the much-awaited Freedom_Nu event this week, along with three other mindblowing concepts and signifies a big step in the next-generation SUV and EV line-up at Mahindra & Mahindra.

Mahindra once again created some excitement in the minds of the auto enthusiasts with its new teaser of the upcoming Vision.SXT, a pickup truck with a rugged backbone, is released into a modern world along with the expectation that the truck will have all the modern features with new styling.

The front facade of the video is promoted with its characteristic design elements that include aggressive hood scoop design, a snarling headlight pattern, and body-mounted ORVMs. These details are also a vehement allusion to its platform structure based at Thar, and it upholds the spirit of the brand in terms of complying with its DNA as off-road oriented.

The partial side profile and the rear, as far as the shape of the pickup bed was concerned, have already been shown through earlier teasers, so it is likewise confirmed that this is utility-focused but lifestyle-oriented as well.

More Than Just One Reveal – A Fleet of Concepts

The Vision.SXT won’t be arriving alone. Mahindra’s Freedom_Nu event is shaping up to be a landmark showcase with three more concept vehicles joining the stage:

  • Vision.T – Expected to be the electrified iteration of the iconic Thar, potentially previewing the next step in the Thar.e’s evolution.

  • Vision.X – Likely to hint at a brand-new XUV model with advanced tech and design upgrades.

  • Vision.S – Reportedly based on the Scorpio N platform, offering a fresh take on the rugged SUV formula.

A Glimpse at Mahindra’s Future Platform

Besides these ideas, it is projected that Mahindra will introduce a new vehicle platform. It is a next-generation architecture which will support all four concepts in future production form, with improved performance, modularity and readiness to electrification.

Manufacturing calendar and projections

The Vision.SXT and the rest of the concept siblings are expected to hit production in the near future, in three years. In the case of the pickup, enthusiasts should anticipate a blend of conventional diesel/ petrol powertrains as well as possible electrified solutions that should suit both hardcore off-roading and lifestyle consumers.

With the Freedom_Nu event now a few days away, Mahindra teasers have already provided a build-up to one of the most ambitious brand-show-offs in recent memory. Assuming that these ideas live up to their hype, the Indian SUV and pickup market will never be the same with the one that Mahindra has in store.
