- Mahindra's domestic passenger vehicle sales touched a new high of 60,393 units in June 2026, growing 28 percent year-on-year.
- Exports, commercial vehicles and the farm equipment business also recorded healthy gains during the month.
Mahindra and Mahindra closed June 2026 on a strong note, with its passenger vehicle business crossing the 60,000-unit mark in domestic sales for the very first time. The manufacturer sold 60,393 units last month, comfortably ahead of the 47,306 units it managed in June 2025.
This works out to a year-on-year growth of nearly 28 percent, and the momentum did not stop there, with sales also climbing over 4 percent compared to May 2026, when the company had sold 58,021 units.
SUV Portfolio Continues To Drive Volumes
The utility vehicle segment remained the backbone of Mahindra's showroom performance through the first quarter of the ongoing financial year.
Between April and June 2026, cumulative SUV sales stood at 174,745 units, up 15 percent over the 152,067 units sold in the same period last year. The company's passenger vehicle lineup, which is now built entirely around its SUV range, did not record any sales under the cars and vans category during the quarter.

Company Cites Broad Based Demand Across Segments
Commenting on the overall performance, Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of the Automotive Division at Mahindra and Mahindra, credited the growth in June to strong demand for the company's SUVs and its sub 3.5 tonne commercial vehicle range. He noted that total vehicle sales for the month came in at 1,06,207 units, translating to a 37 percent rise over the same period last year, and attributed this to consistent demand across the company's entire portfolio.
