Mahindra BE 6 Secures Five-Star Rating in BNCAP Crash Test

Mahindra BE 6 achieves a stellar five-star rating in BNCAP crash tests, showcasing exceptional safety with 31.97/32 points in adult protection and robust child occupant safety.

BE 6: A New Safety Standard in EVs

The Mahindra BE 6 which is the latest electric vehicle from the company has got a five-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash test, which confirms it as one of the safest EVs in India. Together with its counterpart, the XEV 9e, the BE 6 has now put up quite a standard for safety in the new-age EV market.

Crash Test Results: BE 6 Performance

The Bharat NCAP (BNCAP) tests revealed the BE 6’s remarkable safety performance:

  • Adult Occupant Protection: 31.97/32 points, thereby certifying the crash safety for the driver and the passenger.

  • Child Occupant Protection: With 45/49 points Company has improved child safety features significantly.

  • Applies Across Variants: They are applicable for all versions of the BE 6 mainly the five-star-rated variant.

Safety Features of the BE 6

The Mahindra BE 6 comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety features, including:

  • Six Airbags: It further gives better safety to all passengers.

  • ABS with EBD: Aids in managing the steadiness and commanding of a vehicle in the course of applying the brakes in an emergency.

  • Electronic Stability Control (ESC): Helps to avoid skidding during any situation requiring intensive driving manoeuvres.

  • Reverse Parking Sensors: Assists in safe parking.

  • Seatbelt Reminder System: Aids in enhancing compliance with legal requirements, with special reference to the wearing of seat belts.

  • Speed Alert System: Extra security measure that alerts the drivers of high speed that they are driving.

  • Pedestrian Protection: Brings about less effect on the pedestrians in case of an incident of collision.

Sibling Success: XEV 9e Scores Full Marks

The BE 6 is also built with the same safety technologies as the XEV 9e, the latter received a five-star rating and secured 32/32 points for adult protection. This goes a long way in proving that Mahindra has placed much emphasis on providing safety on its EV line.
