Kia’s All-electric EV3 offers a driving range of up to 600km on a single charge

Kia’s highly anticipated EV3 makes its global debut as the brand’s fourth-born EV following the EV9, EV6, and EV5. The five-seater SUV will be available in nine exterior color combinations, including the limited-edition Aventurine Green and Terracotta, and two trim levels: Standard and GT-Line. The EV3 promises class-leading cabin size, amenities, and driving range and is modeled after the flagship EV9 SUV.

Exterior Design Highlights

The SUV has flush-fitting front door handles, rear door handles positioned on the C-pillar, blacked-out pillars, squared-off wheel arches, and blacked-out alloy wheels with white inlays. The EV3 has a large black-clad bumper, a roof spoiler, a shark-fin antenna, a reverse parking camera with sensors, a panoramic sunroof, and L-shaped LED taillamps that extend to both ends of the vehicle.

Spacious and Fully Equipped Cabin

The Kia EV3's interior is crammed with features, such as an auto-dimming IRVM, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, ambient lighting, a floating center console with storage, twin 12.3-inch infotainment and instrument panel displays, ambient lighting, ambient lighting, a wireless charger, and an ADAS suite.

The SUV has a 25-liter trunk and 460-liter boot capacity. Interior colors that are influenced by earth, water, and air components are available to customers. These colors include blue, subtle grey, warm grey, and a special Onyx Black for the GT-line trim.

Impressive Performance and Range

The Kia EV3 measures 4,300mm in length, 1,850mm in width, and 1,560mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,680mm. It has a front-wheel drivetrain and is built on the brand's E-GMP design.

There will be two battery pack options for the electric SUV: a 58.3kWh and an 81.4kWh unit. A single charge of the 81.4kWh version can provide a maximum driving range of up to 600 km (WLTP-cycle). With a DC fast charger, the battery pack can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 31 minutes.

With its single electric engine producing 283Nm of peak torque, the EV3 can accelerate from zero to one hundred kilometers per hour in a little 7.5 seconds.

Availability and Pricing

The Kia EV3 will be launched in Korea in June 2024, followed by Asia in early 2025. Although the exact price for the Indian market has not yet been disclosed, it is anticipated to begin at approximately Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom).

The EV3, which offers a tempting bundle of performance, range, design, and features, is expected to compete with other small electric SUVs on the market. With its remarkable features and Kia's well-deserved reputation for high quality, the EV3 is set to revolutionize the electric car market.
