JK Group Conducts Extensive Blood Donation Drive Across India

The J. K. Organisation is an Indian industrial conglomerate with headquarters in Delhi, Kanpur, and Mumbai. It is a renowned industrial group with a 138-year heritage, founded by Lala Kamlapat Singhania in 1918. Today July 2, 2024, marks the 91st birth anniversary of Late Shri Hari Shankar Singhania, the former President and one of the key architects of the $4 billion group. On this very occasion, the company has taken a major initiative to help the nation by organizing "Blood Donation Camps" across its various companies.

Honoring a Legacy

The blood donation camps were set up at various plants and sales offices of the group's companies. The initiative saw participation from over 7,500 employees. Known for its commitment to social services, the JK Organisation holds these annual blood donation camps to pay tribute to Shri Hari Shankar Singhania. He was a recipient of the prestigious 'Padma Bhushan award and was instrumental in the growth of the JK Organisation. Under his leadership, numerous new ventures were established, and multiple companies were integrated into the group.

Shri Bharat Hari Singhania, the Chairman of JK Organisation, expressed his pride in the initiative. He emphasized that societal contribution is a core value at JK Organisation. "Through this annual initiative, we aim to honor the legacy of Shri Hari Shankar Singhania and improve the lives and welfare of the underserved. We are immensely proud of our employees' overwhelming participation in this blood donation drive, which reflects our collective commitment to making a positive impact," he said.

The blood donation drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from various JK group companies. These included JK Tyre, JK Paper, JK Lakshmi Cement, JK Agri Genetics, JK Fenner, JK Foods, JK Insurance, PSRI Hospital, and JK Lakshmipat University. The widespread involvement from different sectors of the group highlighted the collective spirit and commitment to social welfare within the organization.
