Jeep’s Willys ’41 Edition Sold Out from Indian Showrooms

Indian Jeep fans wasted no time snapping up all 30 units of the Wrangler Willys ’41 Special Edition in just three weeks, drawn to its vintage military paint scheme, bespoke accessories, and uncompromising off-road credentials—a true salute to the legendary 1941 Willys MB.

The Wrangler Willys ’41 Special Edition was earmarked as a collector’s piece, with a launch price of ₹73.24 lakh (ex-showroom). Although only 30 units were allocated to India, the model flew off showroom floors in just three weeks. This rapid sell-out underlines a growing trend among Indian buyers: a willingness to invest in exclusive, heritage-inspired vehicles that blend nostalgia with modern capability.

Heritage-Driven Design and Gear

It is built on the high-end Rubicon platform, the Willys ’41 Edition sports a unique “41 Green” paint finish—a direct nod to the original military-spec Willys MB.

A striking ‘1941’ hood decal completes the period-correct look. Inside, buyers enjoy a suite of exclusive accessories: powered side steps for easy entry, sturdy interior grab handles for rough terrain, all-weather floor mats for easy cleanup, plus front and rear dashcams to capture every adventure.

These thoughtful touches reinforce the model’s tribute to Jeep’s storied past while delivering real-world functionality.

Performance Remains Unchanged

The Wrangler Willys ’41 shares its heart with the Rubicon. Under the bonnet sits a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine pumping out 270 hp and 400 Nm of torque. Power is routed through an 8-speed automatic gearbox and Jeep’s full-time 4×4 system, ensuring the same renowned off-road prowess.

Adventure-Ready Customisation

Jeep offered an optional adventure pack at an extra ₹4.65 lakh for those seeking even greater expedition capability. This bundle includes a sunrider soft top for open-air driving, a side ladder for easy roof access, and a robust roof carrier capable of hauling camping gear or sports equipment.

These add-ons not only enhance the vehicle’s practicality but also echo the spirit of self-sufficient exploration that defined the original 1941 Willys MB.

Exclusive Collectible Appeal

The Wrangler Willys ’41 stands out by fusing authentic military heritage with modern comfort, making it more than just a vehicle; it’s a rolling piece of history. Limited-run special editions have become a hallmark of premium automakers looking to tap into enthusiast communities.

Overall, the blistering sell-out of the Jeep Wrangler Willys ’41 Edition underscores India’s appetite for distinctive, high-end 4×4s. Though the last of these 30 units may now be on the road, its blend of nostalgia and capability ensures the Willys ’41 will remain a talking point for years to come.
