Is Maruti Suzuki Going To Launch More Hybrid Cars

Is Maruti Suzuki going to launch more hybrid cars?

In keeping with its strategic focus on environmentally friendly options, Maruti Suzuki is preparing to offer additional hybrid vehicles. The business sold 2 million automobiles in India in 2023, with a record 2,69,046 units exported, marking a historic milestone. We spoke with Maruti Suzuki's Senior Executive Director of Sales and Marketing, Shashank Srivastava, to learn more about the company's ambitious growth goals.

Vehicles that run on CNG, electricity, or hybrid fuels are becoming more and more safe and environmentally friendly solutions among the many fuel sources available, such as gasoline and diesel. Srivastava emphasized that CNG automobiles currently make up 56% of Maruti's inventory in India. In the future, Maruti Suzuki wants its lineup to consist of 25% hybrid, 15% electric, and 16% flex-fuel (bio-gas blend) vehicles.

The exceptional fuel efficiency and reduction of range anxiety are the main reasons behind the growing vogue of hybrid vehicles. In the upcoming months, Maruti Suzuki plans to introduce a hybrid variant of the five-seater Swift. A clever hybrid system has already been installed in the Brezza, greatly improving its fuel efficiency.

The corporation claims that the main reasons for the popularity of hybrid automobiles are mileage and the decreased worry associated with the vehicle's range. Maruti Suzuki offers the Invicto as part of their hybrid lineup in addition to the Grand Vitara. The eVX, a new electric vehicle that the brand has displayed, is anticipated to go on sale by the end of the year.

The Brezza, which runs on compressed biomethane gas, was on display at the India Mobility Show in Delhi, demonstrating Maruti Suzuki's active support of environmentally beneficial solutions. Notably, most Maruti vehicles now have CNG options, demonstrating the company's dedication to giving customers choices that are environmentally friendly.

To sum up, Maruti Suzuki sees a wide variety of automobiles in the future, with a focus on electric, hybrid, and flex-fuel possibilities. The brand's commitment to sustainability is demonstrated by its dynamic range and activities that give eco-friendly technologies first priority in response to shifting consumer demands.
