Hyundai Staria Electric Makes Its Debut with a 400 km Range and 800V Platform

Hyundai's people-mover strategy has advanced significantly with the introduction of the all-electric Staria MPV. It has an 84 kWh battery, fast charging capabilities, and a stated driving range of up to 400 kilometers. It is built on a sophisticated 800-volt platform. In the upcoming year, the Staria Electric will target families, fleet operators, and urban mobility users seeking comfort, efficiency, and zero-emission practicality in global markets with a strong emphasis on daily usability thanks to its adaptable seven- and nine-seat layouts, contemporary technology, and roomy cabin.

  • The new Staria Electric, a fully electric MPV with a 400 km range, an 84 kWh battery, and quick 800-volt charging, was unveiled by Hyundai.

  • Designed for families, shuttle services, and business use, the roomy people-carrier is available in both 7-seat and 9-seat versions.

The Staria Electric, Hyundai's first fully electric multipurpose car, has been formally unveiled. This variant maintains the recognizable shape and spacious interior that families and operators love while switching to a zero-emission electric drivetrain in keeping with the original Staria's people-carrier heritage.

The new Staria Electric is powered by an 84 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and a front-mounted electric motor that produces 350 Nm of torque and around 160 kW (215 bhp). The MPV is competitive with other large EVs in its class since it can travel up to 400 kilometers on a single charge, according to WLTP calculations.

Quick Charging, Intelligent Tech, and Useful Design

The 800-volt electrical architecture of the Staria Electric is one of its best qualities. Under ideal circumstances, this high-voltage technology enables quick DC fast charging from 10% to 80% in about 20 minutes, which provides a compelling advantage for regular use or lengthy trips. For slower charging at home or at work, an 11 kW AC onboard charger is also offered.

Hyundai has added EV-specific design features, such as a closed-off front fascia and smooth body panels that improve aerodynamic efficiency, while keeping the long, boxy proportions of the combustion-engine variant.

The MPV's interior has a flat floor plan, two 12.3-inch digital screens, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a number of cutting-edge driver-assistance systems for convenience and safety.

Adaptable Seating for All Travels

Hyundai intends to provide two variants for the Staria Electric. With ample head and legroom as well as a substantial 435-liter luggage capacity behind the third row, the seven-seat Luxury model is intended for private families and leisure travelers.

The nine-seat Wagon version increases cargo capacity to 1,303 liters and improves practicality for everyday operations for bigger parties or commercial shuttle services.

Sales of the Staria Electric are scheduled to begin in Europe and Korea in the first half of 2026, with additional markets anticipated to follow. Production of the device starts in South Korea.
