Mahindra December of 2025 Sales Breakdown: Bolero and Scorpio Lead Robust Year-End Growth

Driven by strong demand for its mainstay SUVs, Mahindra & Mahindra concluded December 2025 on a high note. The brand's supremacy in the utility vehicle market was demonstrated by models like the Bolero, Thar, and Scorpio series, which continued to anchor numbers. Mahindra's newer electric products started to contribute significant numbers at the same time, indicating a slow change in the company's portfolio as it strikes a balance between its conventional strengths and mobility solutions that are ready for the future.

  • Mahindra's main SUVs have seen a yearly increase, which indicates changing consumer demand.

  • Sales of electric models start to rise even as the flagship XUV700 volumes change.

Mahindra & Mahindra recorded 50,946 domestic passenger cars at the end of December 2025, a roughly 23% increase over December 2024. The findings show that India's demand for larger SUVs and lifestyle cars is still high, with Mahindra's tough models leading the domestic market. The company's overall year-end performance was significantly improved by the total number of domestic passenger vehicles.

SUV Leaders Continue to Lead the Brand

The Scorpio and Scorpio N twins, which together led the charts with 15,885 units sold, were at the top of Mahindra's sales list. This was a significant 30% year-over-year increase and solidified the Scorpio family as the marquee performer.

With 10,611 units sold, the Bolero virtually doubled its numbers from December of the previous year and demonstrated its ongoing popularity, especially in rural and semi-urban areas.

Thar and Thar ROXX combined for 9,339 units, and the XUV 3XO made a significant contribution with 9,422 units, highlighting the ongoing desire for lifestyle-SUV options.

New Electric Footprints

During the month, Mahindra's line of electric vehicles made remarkable progress. The BE 6 gained 1,481 units and the XEV 9e registered 2,154 units, suggesting that the automaker's more recent EVs are gaining popularity as buyers look for alternatives to conventional internal-combustion vehicles.

As the model starts to hit the market, early sales of the XEV 9s also showed promise, indicating Mahindra's steady ascent in the EV industry.

XUV700 Modifies in Response to New Launches

It's interesting to note that sales of the XUV700 and XUV 7XO significantly decreased to 1,424 units when compared to their performance in December of last year. The timing of model updates and the recent release of an updated version, with deliveries beginning around the turn of the year, are the main causes of this decline.

As consumers wait for the revised EV lineup, earlier electrified models like the XUV400 EV experienced little activity, indicating changes within the portfolio.

Mahindra's year-over-year performance and calendar-year increase highlight the company's persistent strength in the SUV market and its increasing presence in electrification, even if the company's total December sales were somewhat lower month-over-month compared to November. Mahindra is well-positioned for a competitive start into 2026, with newer electric models gaining popularity and core models continuing to command consumer interest.
